Menopause Fears Jeopardize Katie Price’s Baby Dreams Amid Health Struggles

Katie Price admitted her concerns that she could be experiencing menopause, sharing details about recent health issues she’s been facing.

Previously renowned for her modeling career, now aged 46, she’s been vocal about her aspirations to have another child, potentially the sixth one. She’s also investigated the possibility of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Yet, the star has now confessed that she’s started noticing symptoms associated with menopause, such as difficulty in maintaining sleep and frequent hot flashes.

During a conversation with her sister Sophie on her podcast “The Katie Price Show,” Katie expressed that she hasn’t been able to sleep well at night, which is unusual for her since she typically sleeps very well, suggesting there might be an issue.

I plan on getting a blood test since I suspect I might be experiencing early menopause, although I’m not entirely sure about the mechanisms involved. Regardless, I’m still having my periods.

Katie mentioned that before her periods, her bed would become damp from perspiration, which made her question if she might be experiencing menopause.

Previously, the star received devastating news last month when she learned that she was approaching menopause during her attempts at in-vitro fertilization (IVF) with ex-fiancé Carl Woods, as documented in her show titled “Creating a Family.

In 2023, prior to their separation, a TV show on Channel 4 captured the fertility treatment adventure that the couple, she and Carl, were embarking on, as they intended to welcome another child into their family.

For three long years, the former pair had been striving to conceive, but they received a devastating piece of news when a fertility specialist informed a 45-year-old Katie that she had only a few viable eggs left and that her body was exhibiting symptoms of menopause.

During their initial consultation in the first episode, gynecologist Carole Gilling-Smith shared some challenging news: the odds of conceiving using Katie’s own eggs were quite low, below 1%. Furthermore, she expressed doubt about Katie’s ability to produce a healthy egg.

Meanwhile, the circumstances dealt a heavy blow to the relationship at the time, causing Katie to worry that Carl might leave her since she was approaching menopause within a year or two and may not be able to conceive naturally, adding to her anxiety.

The mother-of-five exclaimed: ‘He probably won’t want to be with me now anyway.’

In conversation with the camera, she expressed her concerns: ‘However, I worry now that he might not want to be with me because he desires children, believing I would cause him too much trouble. He might choose someone younger instead and start a family. This is my fear.’

In response to Carl dismissing her negativity as irrational, Katie expressed her suspicion and distrust, saying, “I feel like I’m being shut out!” or “It feels like they’re keeping something from me!

Carole, the fertility specialist, later confessed that the news was a significant setback for Katie (currently 46 years old), as she explained that the initial symptoms of aging were originating from her ovaries.

Additionally, she mentioned that many women typically experience a sense of losing their attractiveness upon receiving news similar to Katie’s.

In spite of the slim odds suggested, Katie, showing great determination, eventually shared with Carole her decision to proceed with the egg retrieval process.

The documentary subsequently shows Katie going through a process to collect her egg, and she is overjoyed later on when they manage to gather two of them.

Initially, the pair were thrilled about the possibility of having a child, but during filming, they parted ways before their in-vitro fertilization attempt could bear fruit.

Katie is currently a mother to four children: Harvey (22), who she shares with Dwight York; Junior (19) and Princess (17) from her marriage to Peter Andre; and Jett (10) and Bunny (9) with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

Despite being in a relationship with JJ Slater, it appears that the star continues to harbor hopes for having another child.

As reported by Closer in October, it was mentioned that Katie had consulted with specialists at an IVF clinic. These professionals shared with her that she still has a possibility of having kids, despite the lower quality of her eggs and her advanced age.

She’s tried every available IVF option within the UK, and she’s eagerly looking forward to this as a potential step towards growing her family.
