Melrose Place veteran was seen breaking down in TEARS at the Emmys… did you spot the star?

An actor from Melrose Place was visibly upset and cried during Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.

Grant Show, known for his role as Jake Hanson, appeared alongside Heather Locklear and Courtney Thorne-Smith in the popular series from 1992 to 1997.

The waterworks started when his wife Katherine LaNasa took home an Emmy for her acting on The Pitt.

The blonde was in the category Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

While accepting an award, the actress publicly thanked her husband, Grant Show, for his constant support, saying, ‘Thank you to my beautiful husband Grant Show for helping me always with everything.’

The lovebirds wed in 2012.

Show starred as Jake Hanson on the TV show Melrose Place from 1992 to 1997. He worked alongside Daphne Zuniga and Heather Locklear during his time on the show.

From 2017 to 2022, he portrayed Blake Carrington in the soap opera reboot Dynasty.

LaNasa seemed thrilled with her win.

I’m still reeling, honestly! Hearing her say that… it just *made* my night. She was accepting the award and was SO gracious, but when she talked about John Wells, it was everything. You could just *feel* how much she admires him – she’s talked about wanting to work with him forever, and she said he makes everything better. It was perfect! I’ve been following her career for years, and that moment… it just confirmed everything I already knew about her and her dedication.

She also recognized ‘the incomparable Noah Wyle,’ LaNasa said.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m keeping a close eye on awards season, and the acting categories are *packed* with talent! This year, the nominees include some incredible women like Patricia Arquette for her work in ‘Severance,’ and a whole host of phenomenal performers from ‘The White Lotus’ – Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Natasha Rothwell all earned nods. Julianne Nicholson, who was amazing in ‘Paradise,’ and Aimee Lou Wood are also in the running, and I’m so excited to see who takes home the win!

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following actress Eliza LaNasa’s work, and I’m excited about her role as Dana Evans, the charge nurse, on ‘The Pitt.’ It’s a really compelling show set in the fast-paced environment of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center – definitely a must-watch if you’re into medical dramas!

This was LaNasa’s first Emmy nomination.

It’s amazing, honestly. After spending so much of my career watching from the outside, I never thought I’d be nominated for an award,” LaNasa told People. “Just being a nominee is wonderful, and I’m really enjoying the experience – it feels like a lucky opportunity.

Show has been working for decades.

He first gained significant recognition playing Rick Hyde on the daytime drama *Ryan’s Hope* from 1984 to 1987.

He dated fellow Ryan’s Hope actor Yasmine Bleeth.

I remember when he first got the role of Jake Hanson on Beverly Hills, 90210 – it was only for a few episodes, but it was brilliant! They were clearly setting him up for something bigger, and it worked because that led directly to him starring in Melrose Place. He even revisited the Jake character for a guest spot in the pilot of Melrose Place’s spin-off, Models Inc., which was a fun little nod to his roots.

He has also appeared on television in shows like “Blessed Assurance” with Cicely Tyson, “Between Love and Honor” featuring Robert Loggia, and “Homeland Security” with Tom Skerritt, as well as the 2005 series “Point Pleasant.”

In 2002, he appeared in three episodes of the popular HBO series *Six Feet Under*. Later, in 2006, he had a guest role in two episodes of the ABC Family show *Beautiful People*, reuniting with his former *Melrose Place* co-star, Daphne Zuniga.

In 2007, Show guest-starred in three episodes of the TV series Dirt, and also appeared in Swingtown, Private Practice, Accidentally on Purpose, and Big Love.
