Melody Thornton seemingly SHADES Nicole Scherzinger over Trump saga after THAT Pussycat Dolls feud
As a fervent admirer of the arts and someone who appreciates the power of music to unite people, I find myself deeply disheartened by the recent actions of one of my favorite artists, Nicole Scherzinger. Having grown up in the vibrant and diverse city of Los Angeles, I’ve always cherished our shared values of inclusivity, compassion, and love.
Melody Thornton, a former bandmate of Nicole Scherzinger in the Pussycat Dolls, appeared to subtly criticize Scherzinger’s support for Donald Trump recently.
On Election Day Tuesday, Scherzinger, aged 46, sparked fan outrage when she commented on Russell Brand’s post “Make Jesus First Again.” Some fans perceived this action as an indication that she may have supported Donald Trump in his second presidential victory, leading to accusations of her being a Trump supporter.
Thornton, aged 40, who is well-known for his contentious history with Scherzinger, recently posted on Instagram a 2016 picture initially shared by Ben Affleck depicting him smoking with a somber expression – an image that has since gained notoriety online as a popular meme.
Spectators swiftly responded with comments like: ‘She had foreseen this all along!’, ‘Given Melody’s recent melancholy following the elections, let’s rally behind the one who anticipated this from the start.’, or simply ‘I’m all in on this!’
Since the demise of PCD Melody has made no secret of the drama within the group.
A viral video showed the group performing at the American Music Awards in 2006.
In the dance, Nicole is out front, with the others following, but then Melody steps up to take the spotlight to demonstrate her singing talent, which seems to irritate Nicole a bit.
It wasn’t hard to notice that Nicole appeared to be upset, as one fan had earlier commented on Twitter: “In tribute to the Pussycat Dolls reunion, here’s a memory of when Melody Thornton improvised and Nicole Scherzinger seemed clearly irritated.
Among the other comments on social media, there were expressions such as: “Being behind-the-scenes after this performance would have been truly spectacular.
It’s only fair that Nicole got what she had coming! She went as far as locking Melody inside a closet to prevent her from performing, but guess who managed to escape and took center stage just when things were about to wrap up? That’s right, it was Melody! This left Nicole fuming since Melody managed to break free.
Nicole shot a “mind your own business” glance at [someone].
Melody has previously made critical remarks about Nicole, acknowledging that it was challenging for her to express herself within the group.
In an interview with Lorraine, the singer shared her thoughts: “Originally, my aspirations were rooted in Nicole’s singing style reminiscent of Christina Aguilera. However, things took an unexpected turn.
Previously, Nicole was part of two different teams, and she had extensive background in album production. Thus, they decided that Nicole would be responsible for all the recording sessions, while you would need to learn and dance alongside the other girls.
‘I wasn’t showcasing my greatest talent… people were getting a wrong impression of me because of something I didn’t do, and I was the least skilled dancer. It was extremely difficult, tough times. Yet, we did have fun. That’s your introduction to adulthood.’
As for myself, I’m predominantly a singer, yet many aren’t aware of this fact. Upon joining the group, I was informed that I would be required to dance, which initially took me aback as I don’t have any dancing experience.
She expressed that it had been a particularly challenging period for her, and upon its conclusion, she found herself saying, ‘Wonderful, on to the next phase.’
In the year 2019, the Dolls regrouped, however, it was Melody who chose not to participate. Robin Antin, one of the founders, stated that the timing simply wasn’t suitable for her.
This occurs following significant criticism towards Nicole, who posted and subsequently deleted a comment under Russell’s picture where he displayed a red “Make Jesus First Again” hat with the caption “God Bless America.
Showing a liking for an item resembling the MAGA symbol, Scherzinger expressed her interest by commenting, “Where can I buy this hat?!” accompanied by prayer hand and red heart emoticons.
It seems that the singer of The Pussycat Dolls did not show approval for the image, nor has she openly supported any political candidate. However, her positive comment about the hat stirred up frustration among other Instagram users.
DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for Scherzinger for comment.
The original photo was shared before Donald Trump, whose slogan has been ‘Make America Great Again’, won the presidential election over Kamala Harris.
Instagram followers replied to Nicole with ‘No, hun, this ain’t it at all.’
‘F***ing hell, Nicole, not this,’ another wrote.
‘The comment was, “supportive of predators,” someone posted last year. In light of accusations against Russell that include rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse from his peak career years, police have been investigating these claims. However, Russell has consistently denied all allegations.’
Trump has been accused of multiple instances of inappropriate sexual behavior, and in May of this year, a New York court ruled that he was responsible for sexually abusing author E. Jean Carroll.
In reference to X, a follower posted about Nicole Scherzinger’s statement: “It’s completely understandable that Nicole Scherzinger is supporting Donald Trump.
One quipped that the post may have hurt the Sunset Blvd. star’s odds at getting a Tony.
‘Well the Best Actress Tony race just got a little less competitive,’ another tweeted.
In an interview with The Guardian in 2019, Scherzinger revealed that she was brought up as a Catholic and regularly attends church services more than once a week.
English actor Brand, meanwhile, has previously weighed in on American politics.
Prior to June, when President Joe Biden was still campaigning and Vice President Kamala Harris had not yet taken over, Brand expressed puzzlement as to why supporters who value freedom might opt for Biden instead of Trump.
During a segment on his podcast titled ‘Stay Free With Russell Brand’, Russell Brand voiced his discontent regarding the recent U.S. presidential election.
As a die-hard supporter, I can’t help but voice my worries about the elitist attitude I see from liberals towards those backing Trump. It seems to me like they’re sneering and judging his supporters unfairly, treating us as if we’re somehow beneath them. And it’s not right that they’ve been using the legal system as a weapon against us. The brand I admire spoke up about this very concern, saying he feels troubled by this snobbish, contemptuous, and condemning behavior towards Trump supporters.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself in a peculiar position when it comes to choosing between two candidates like Donald Trump and Joe Biden. If you value democracy and freedom above all else, it seems nearly impossible to cast your vote for anyone other than Donald Trump, despite the claims that he’s not an ideal choice.
He went on to say that ‘they act as if a vote for is almost like you’re directly voting for Armageddon, like you see hysterical performances outside of courtrooms, endless MSNBC bombast.’
However, I’m coming to believe that what truly endangers democracy isn’t just any single issue, but rather this form of technological feudalism. This system pretends to care for you and to safeguard vulnerable individuals, while simultaneously intensifying censorship, funneling more resources into conflicts, and widening the gap between average citizens.
