Melissa Suffield is working with a specialist to address ongoing back and hip pain and improve her physical well-being.
The 31-year-old actress, known for her role on EastEnders, has been experiencing pain since giving birth to her son, River, in March 2020.
She shared a video on Instagram Tuesday showing her visit to CiONE Wellness Centre on Harley Street in London, where she’s getting treatment to address some health concerns.
In her post, ‘come with me to fix my messed up body,’ Melissa shared that she recently got custom insoles for her shoes to improve her posture.
The TV personality is famous for advocating body positivity and frequently uses her public platform to promote realistic beauty standards.
She described having ongoing pain in her back and hips, explaining that certain areas of her spine were misaligned. She believes these plates will provide support and stability.

She explained that her body has adapted, changing the way she walks and moves to minimize pain.
However, those actions have only caused further problems. Now, we have a lot of fixing to do, and it needs to start with the most basic, fundamental steps.
Melissa explained in her post that society doesn’t offer much support for mothers who are struggling, and there’s often an expectation that they should just cope on their own. She admitted she’d been doing that for years, but realized it’s not healthy or acceptable.
Honestly, finding out I’m hypermobile and starting to work with specialists like Tim has been a total game-changer. For the first time, I’m actually starting to believe I might one day wake up without that awful stiffness and pain. It’s given me real hope for a better future.
I’m planning to follow up with a check-up in a few weeks to see how things are going. Would you be interested in hearing more about my recovery, including some of the unusual treatments I’m receiving? Feel free to ask if you have any questions!
Melissa recently shared a health update, revealing she feels like her ongoing illness is a cruel irony. Despite her efforts to get better, she says she’s actually feeling worse.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what’s been going on with him! He’s been so unwell for months, constantly feeling sick to his stomach, and doctors just couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Turns out, he has something called SIBO – small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. I was SO worried, but at least they finally have a name for it! I’m just hoping he gets better soon; he deserves to feel amazing again.
She confessed she wasn’t feeling much in the Christmas spirit this year and wouldn’t even be able to enjoy a Christmas dinner.

Melissa told The Sun that she cooked a full Christmas dinner last year but didn’t get to enjoy any of it herself. She explained that she gets most of the happiness from the food, and because of that, she’s not feeling very Christmassy this year.
She shared that she felt healthier than ever this year because she’d committed to drinking only water and cooking all her own meals.
Despite trying to help, she said she felt worse than ever and described the situation as very discouraging.
Melissa shared that despite being healthier this year than ever before – focusing on good sleep and taking plenty of vitamins and minerals – she’s actually been getting sick more often.
I haven’t touched alcohol, and honestly, it’s ironic considering my health. Everything *looks* good on paper, but I feel terrible in reality. It’s pretty depressing, to be honest.
