Melissa McCarthy debuted a noticeably slimmer physique at the Fashion Trust US Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old Bridesmaids star looked stunning on the red carpet in a tight-fitting Emilio Pucci dress with the designer’s famous swirling pattern.
The dress showed off how much weight she’d lost, and her hair, styled neatly back, made her jawline look more sculpted.
The actress’s appearance sparked rumors that she may have used weight loss drugs, with one social media user on X suggesting she ‘looks like she’s been on Ozempic.’
The comedian is estimated to have lost anywhere from 75lbs to 95lbs over the last several years.
McCarthy has repeatedly stated in interviews that she lost weight by making healthier choices and working out.
She has not denied using Ozempic, but she has not confirmed it either.
One fan commented that if that’s true, these would be the most impressive weight loss results seen with Ozempic.

McCarthy also emphasizes that she doesn’t follow strict diets. She discussed this on Charlamagne’s ‘The Breakfast Club’ in 2018, explaining her dislike of quick-fix or overly restrictive weight loss plans.
She explained that if she could relax, take her time, and avoid rushing from one thing to the next, she’d be more successful.

She likened following very restrictive diets to holding your breath for an entire day, explaining that after about fourteen hours, you become incredibly irritable and erratic.
She explained, “I decided to relax and take some time for myself.” After becoming a mother, she realized she needed to be practical and accept that progress wouldn’t be quick. However, she added that she’s feeling really good now.
McCarthy once talked about a very strict diet that helped her lose weight quickly, but it wasn’t easy and had some negative side effects.
Late last year, she revealed to People magazine that a strict liquid diet prescribed by her doctor during the filming of Gilmore Girls led to a dramatic 70-pound weight loss in just four months.
‘I’d never do that again,’ she said. ‘I felt starved and crazy half the time.’
In a 2016 interview with Redbook, she discussed prioritizing her health while raising her teenage daughters, Vivian, 18, and Georgette, 16, with her husband, Ben Falcone, 52.
Almost ten years ago, when her children were young, she told a reporter she’d rather be punched herself than let her child feel insecure or unhappy.
She explained that there’s a widespread problem in the US where girls and women are feeling insecure about their appearance, comparing themselves to an extremely small and often unrealistic standard of beauty. This negative self-perception often begins at a young age.
