A TV insider informed Daily Mail Australia that Melissa has expressed plans to return to MasterChef Australia once Andy Allen leaves the show.

Last year, Melissa exited MasterChef Australia amidst whispers of a potential dispute with her previous co-host Allen over unproven allegations.
2022 saw reports of off-stage friction between Leong and staff from Endemol Shine, Ten’s production partner. It later emerged that Leong would not be part of the MasterChef Australia cast anymore.
One day prior to the network’s 2024 Upfronts, Leong stunned followers by announcing her departure on Instagram.

Meanwhile, affable Allen returned to the show this year alongside three new judges.

Leong left the organization following allegations that her dismissal was due to several behind-the-scenes conflicts that received media attention.
