Melissa Leong announces major TV role on iconic series – after dramatic exit from MasterChef Australia

As a dedicated follower of Melissa Leong’s career journey, I am nothing short of impressed by her recent move to join the iconic Australian show, Playschool. Having grown up watching this beloved series myself, it is truly heartening to see Melissa realize a childhood dream and become part of its rich legacy.

Melissa Leong has shared her latest career movie after leaving MasterChef Australia. 

Previously known as a cooking show judge, this individual is now fulfilling a long-held dream from their childhood by making an appearance on ABC’s Playschool.

‘I grew up watching Playschool’ the 42-year-old began in her caption on Instagram on Sunday.  

For six decades, this renowned TV series has graced Australian entertainment. It’s hard to believe, but this upcoming week, I’ll have the privilege of being involved in its enchantment!

She continued: ‘Catch me on Wednesday 18th at 9am @abcaustralia, or on @abckids! 

‘I thought you should know that today’s TV performance will be my one and only chance to sing and dance – it means a lot to me!’

Melissa found herself expressing gratitude towards AlexPappOfficial and RachaelCoope for their warm and inviting hospitality.

Following the disclosure that Melissa is spearheading a fresh three-part documentary series focusing on Australia’s healthcare system, this occurs next.

The TV star appeared in the new SBS docuseries The Hospital: In The Deep End in June. 

The program observed her spending time with healthcare specialists at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney for a deeper comprehension of health issues prevalent in Australia.

The former MasterChef Australia judge told TV WEEK that filming the series was challenging.

During an interview with The Daily Telegraph in October, the journalist and culinary expert praised the program as genuinely heartfelt and boasting extraordinary individuals who are wholeheartedly dedicated to preserving lives.

Last year, there were reports of a dispute between a food critic and two judges on MasterChef Australia, Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo, leading to her dismissal from the show. However, she has publicly refuted these claims.

She went on to host MasterChef spinoff series Dessert Masters alongside Amaury Guichon.

Her excitement was evident when she talked to Daily Mail Australia about her latest role as host of Dessert Masters, referring to it as the fulfillment of a long-held dream.

Additionally, she announced that she would be hosting UFC Fight Week on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
