Melania Trump — her doppelganger — makes appearance at L.A. matinee of first lady’s documentary

I had just sat down to watch the first showing of “Melania” at the Grove when Melania Trump herself walked in.

OK, it wasn’t the Melania Trump, as in the first lady. But it was a reasonable facsimile.

An impersonator, with a man recording her on his phone, confidently walked into the screening room. She tossed her hair and smiled at the small audience – including several journalists – who were among the first in Los Angeles to preview “Melania,” the documentary starring and produced by the First Lady.

A new documentary about Melania Trump is facing controversy due to the director’s involvement and ongoing unrest in Minneapolis.

“Hello everyone, and welcome to my movie,” the performer said, adopting a Slovenian accent. She was dressed in a chic dark pantsuit and heels, an outfit often seen in the film. The movie tells the story of Melania Trump in the twenty days before her husband, Donald Trump, was inaugurated for a second term as president.

After a few more words of greeting, the impostor Melania flashed another smile as she exited.

I was really disappointed I couldn’t take a picture – it’s not every day you meet a first lady, even if it’s someone pretending to be one.

Throughout the movie, the audience was generally quiet, though a few people chuckled when Melania Trump described the difficulties of planning her return to the White House, including choosing the right clothes and decorations.

How once-exiled filmmaker Brett Ratner staged a Hollywood comeback with ‘Melania’

Brett Ratner, once a highly successful movie director known for films like ‘Rush Hour,’ faced career setbacks following accusations during the #MeToo movement. Now, with backing from President Trump and reportedly Melania Trump, he’s making a comeback.

She explains that she always has a strong sense of what she wants to create, and it’s up to her to communicate those ideas to her team so they can make them a reality.

During the movie, as Donald Trump was officially introduced as the forty-fifth president at his inauguration, an older woman near the front of the audience began to clap. I noticed she was smiling as the film showed the new president and First Lady walking through the White House after the ceremony.

“It’s incredibly emotional to be standing here with my husband,” she shared. “He’s been through so much over the last few years – people have tried to harm him, put him in jail, and ruin his reputation. But despite everything, he’s still here, and I’m immensely proud of him.”

I was hoping to catch Melania in the lobby after the movie to get her thoughts, but she had already left.
