Mel C shares sweet tribute to Spice Girls bandmate Mel B on her wedding day despite not attending – but there’s still no word from Geri Halliwell

Melanie C posted a heartwarming photo of Melanie Brown and her newlywed spouse, commemorating their special wedding day on a weekend.

In an unusual absence, Sporty Spice, aged 51, was conspicuously missing as her fellow Spice Girl bandmate exchanged vows with her fiancé Rory McPhee at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The ceremony was graced by a number of high-profile attendees.

Although the reason for her absence remained unclear, she nevertheless wished to express her joy and enthusiasm for the couple. To do so, she posted a picture of the newlywed pair on her Instagram account.

Expressing her disappointment at being unable to attend, she hinted that they would reunite and catch up with one another soon.

As I eagerly share my joy from afar, let me express my heartfelt congratulations to the both of you! I’m genuinely overjoyed for your happiness, but deeply disappointed that I couldn’t be present in person. Rest assured, I can’t wait to raise a toast and celebrate with you very soon! Yippee!

As a devoted Spice Girls fan, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment that Geri hasn’t yet acknowledged the star-studded wedding of my fellow Spice Girl bandmate. I can only imagine how magical the event must have been and I can’t help but wonder if there’s any chance she’ll share her thoughts on it soon.

Ginger Spice, aged 52, hasn’t said a word about her wedding on her social media platforms, as there were no related posts visible on her Instagram account all day long.

Victoria Beckham was absent from the event, yet she posted an endearing vintage photograph of herself along with the bride and her Spice Girls bandmates Geri, Mel C, and Emma on her Instagram.

51-year-old Posh wrote: “Celebrating @officialmelb @rorymcphee on your special occasion! I’m thrilled for the two of you and wish you endless joy! Lots of kisses, xx

Emma Bunton was the only Spice Girl to attend. 

Earlier today, Victoria too shared another heartfelt tribute for the couple on Friday, accompanied by a stunning photograph of her and Mel looking graceful in their latest appearance at an event.

She gushed in a caption: ‘Sending love to you @officialmelb! @rorymcphee is a very lucky man! xx’

Prior to the wedding, sources informed the Mail that there was no strained relationship between Victoria and Mel, just a clash in schedules.

Victoria is unable to attend because she has pre-existing travel arrangements overseas that cannot be changed. She holds Mel in high regard, and they have a strong rapport, even though their lifestyles seem to diverge significantly. It’s truly unfortunate.

‘There is no issue between them, they haven’t fallen out. It’s just one of those things.’

For Geri, her relationship with Mel can get stormy, and on occasion, they’ve found it challenging to coexist peacefully without tension filling the air between them.

In simpler terms, after Mel B openly discussed her past romantic involvement with Geri during an interview on Piers Morgan’s show “Life Stories,” a disagreement or conflict ensued between the two women.

In 2019, Geri received a shocking disclosure that allegedly went unaddressed by Mel, leaving Geri visibly affected.

Sources also say that Geri’s husband Christian Horner was ‘mortified’ about Mel’s claims. 

Despite the absence of other Spice Girls, Emma graced the event with her presence, looking stunning in a chic pink gown, as she turned up to back Mel B.

On the special occasion, Emma was joined by her husband Jade Jones, along with their seventeen-year-old son, Beau. Both men were well-dressed and looked sharp for the event.

Leaving the cathedral, Baby Spice graciously paused to sign an autograph for an enthusiastic admirer.

On a Saturday afternoon, Mel made her third trip down the aisle amidst her famous companions, ultimately transforming into Mrs. McPhee in the process.

Adorned in a pearl-embellished wedding gown that gleamed like freshly harvested pearls, she was nothing short of breathtaking. As I witnessed Rory and her exchange vows during the enchanting ceremony, it felt like time itself stood still, leaving me utterly captivated by the magical moment unfolding before me.

The dress she wore had an see-through lace pattern decorated with white pearls, along with a gathered waistline, and to complete her wedding style, she added a long, flowing veil.

Instead, Rory, the groom at 37 years old, chose to wear a traditional Scottish outfit that included a tartan kilt in red and green colors.

On her wedding day, Mel stepped out of a gleaming white Bentley, beaming with joy, and gently smoothed her veil before stepping into the venue.

At the same time, Mel’s kids, Phoenix Chi, Madison, and Angel Iris, wore bright smiles upon their arrival to witness their mom walking down the aisle.

In the city of Phoenix, aged 26, gracefully adorned herself in a stunning blue silk gown and matching headpiece, joined by her partner, AJ Anderson.

Eighteen-year-old brother, formerly identified as female but now identifying as male, cut an intelligent figure in a sleek black suit, while thirteen-year-old sister, Madison, turned heads in a vibrant pink dress and coordinating accessory.

Notable attendees at the event are television hosts Gabby Logan and Angela Bells, as well as stand-up comics Katharine Ryan and Alan Carrs.

In 1998, Mel tied the knot with her first husband, Dutch backup dancer Jimmy Gulzar. This was her initial marriage. Since then, she has remarried twice more, making it the third time she’s said ‘I do’.

In 2007, she secretly married Stephen Belafonte in Las Vegas, and then had a vow renewal ceremony in Egypt the next year.

2016 marked the end of Mel and Stephen’s relationship due to allegations by her that he had inflicted both emotional and physical abuse, something he has consistently refuted.

His lawyers said that during the marriage they spent her £50million fortune.

Mel grew close to Rory after the breakdown of her marriage to Stephen. 

The previous year, she mentioned that he is a close family acquaintance, an exceptional hairdresser. Upon my return to England, he used to visit me for providing hair care services.

As he gently tended to my hair, it seemed like he was also fostering my faith and confidence in our bond.
