Mel C Reveals Spice Girls Reunion Drama: One Member Needs Extra Convincing!

Melanie C, a member of the Spice Girls, has finally spoken up about the approaching Spice Girls reunion tour. She disclosed that one bandmate remains hesitant and requires additional persuasion before joining the performance.

Earlier this week, it became known that the renowned girl group is planning a reunion for a potential global tour, marking 30 years since their first hit single, Wannabe, was released.

It’s been made clear that Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, seems to have little chance of rejoining the Spice Girls, as she hasn’t performed with them since the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony, and she is now 51 years old.

In a recent chat, Melanie C (aged 51) expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, hinting at another bandmate who appeared less keen on taking the stage again and required more encouragement to do so.

On the No Filter with Kate Langbroek podcast, Sporty Spice expressed that the coming year holds significant importance for them and it’s crucial they mark it somehow.

In essence, we are discussing what it might entail, and I am confident that Melanie and Emma [Bunton] would return to the stage. However, some others may require a bit more persuasion.

As Geri Halliwell-Horner’s admission of needing persuasion emerges, it bolsters rumors that Ginger Spice will have a meeting with Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller in Miami this coming weekend for discussions about the group’s plans.

The performer, aged 52, has been vague about a potential comeback, expressing during a recent interview that she cherishes the Spice Girls as a collective phenomenon, our group, and each of its members individually.

It appeared that the controversy surrounding Christian Horner, who faced allegations of misconduct from a team member, may have deterred Geri from participating.

Given the scandal involving her husband Christian Horner, who was accused of wrongdoing by an employee, it seemed Geri decided against participating.

Or simply:

The scandal surrounding Christian Horner, who faced allegations, might have prevented Geri from joining in.

Given that Geri’s Red Bull Formula 1 boss, Christian, is preparing for the upcoming race, and since Simon is said to be a racing enthusiast with an invitation from Red Bull, this seems like an ideal moment for them to have a conversation.

While pondering the possibility of the five girls sharing a stage together for the first time since 2012, Mel remarked, “It would be absolutely incredible, incredible, incredible. At times, it seems like a responsibility we owe to the world.

Performing our shows in 2019 brought immense happiness to countless individuals. Though not everyone is a fan of the Spice Girls, a significant number certainly are.

In these unusual times, there’s an overwhelming amount of negativity and chaos surrounding us. Perhaps we could all bring some positivity and excitement into our daily lives instead.

In the meantime, Mel B playfully said that crucial information about the tour wouldn’t be disclosed to her because she has a tendency to blab.

She joked, saying, “Since we found out that Mel tends to share everything she knows, we’ve decided it’s best not to share any secrets with her anymore.

‘So don’t listen to Mel B because she doesn’t know, because we’re not telling her.’

Ever since their official split, there has been a steady stream of whispers suggesting a reunion might happen. Most recently, Mel B expressed her excitement about the possibility of another tour together.

Mel C has subtly suggested that the group might have a unique celebration planned for next year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their first album, “Spice.

The girl group last toured together in 2020 as a foursome, with only Victoria missing out.

The last time Emma, Melanie Brown (Mel B), Melanie Chisholm (Mel C), Victoria Adams (Victoria) and Geraldine Halliwell (Geri) appeared together on stage as a quintet was during the opening event of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

During a conversation with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1 in March, Mel C hinted: “There should be something worthy of the 30-year anniversary since the release of ‘Wannabe’.

‘Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl.

‘Even though we may share similar sentiments, it’s important for us to gather now since we understand that in order to make progress, we need to begin organizing and setting things into motion.’

‘We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.’

Instead, she acknowledged that the initiative could potentially rest with her and Mel B to kick-start things, expressing: ‘I believe Mel B and I will likely charge in headfirst, ‘Let’s go! The moment is now!’
