Mel C and Bryan Adams reunite to belt out their iconic duet When You’re Gone 27 years after release

Mel C and Bryan Adams recently teamed up again to re-create their popular tune “When You’re Gone,” which had been out for 27 years since its initial release.

On Tuesday, the Spice Girls (now aged 51), posted a video on Instagram showcasing them singing their 1998 hit single together.

In the video, Mel donned an animal-patterned jacket and coordinating shorts, while Bryan opted for a relaxed look with a short-sleeved shirt and black pants.

In the video, Mel wore an animal print jacket and shorts to match, and Bryan dressed casually in a short-sleeved shirt and black trousers.

During On A Day Like Today, his eighth album, When You’re Gone climbed up to the third position on the UK Singles Chart.

Alongside the clip, Mel wrote: ‘We always have the best time, love you @bryanadams’. 

Initially, Bryan aimed to collaborate with American singer Sheryl Crow for a duet, yet after unexpectedly meeting her in an elevator in Los Angeles, he decided to ask Mel instead.

At Bryan’s shows, the song is regularly played, with a common occurrence of inviting a fan from the audience to join him on stage for a duet.

Besides meeting up with Bryan again, Mel is also looking forward to a reunion with the Spice Girls, who are planning a collaboration with the Red Roses and are scheduled to make a comeback.
