Mel B’s beloved Yorkshire Terrier Cookie serves as ringbearer during Spice Girl’s wedding to Rory McPhee at St Paul’s Cathedral

On the special day of Mel B’s wedding to Rory McPhee, Yorkshire Terrier Cookie demonstrated that she was more than just a friend, as she played an exceptionally significant part in the festivities.

At St. Paul’s Cathedral, an attendee was spotted entering with their dog, which served as the ringbearer during the special ceremony, as she readied herself for this distinctive role.

In a move that had been criticized by some in the past, Cookie was adorned with vibrant pink dye, as she gracefully made her way through a crowd of celebrities and entered the legendary venue.

Typically, only guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other officially recognized assistance dogs are permitted to enter St. Paul’s. Regular pets are usually not allowed.

At TopMob, it is known that during the wedding, Rory’s brother Jordan took on the role of best man, and James Steen stepped in to escort Mel down the aisle since her late father, Martin Brown, was unable to do so. Mel’s nieces played the part of flower girls in the ceremony.

Even though Cookie was charming, she wasn’t able to outshine the stunning bride Mel B, who appeared breathtaking in a dress embellished with pearls and white fabric upon her arrival.

The former Spice Girl stepped out from a sleek white Bentley, revealing a brilliant grin, before gently adjusting her veil before entering to marry Mr. McPhee.

Mel’s wedding dress showcased a see-through illusion style embellished with white pearls and a gathered waistline, complemented by a long veil that completed her bridal attire.

Instead, Rory chose a traditional Scottish outfit, which included a tartan kilt in the colors red and green.

At the wedding, it was Emma Bunton, another member of the Spice Girls, who guided the arrival of the famous attendees, while Scary Spice was preparing to make her way down the aisle for her third wedding.

Despite the reports stating that Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisholm wouldn’t attend – Emma made it a point to show up and lend her support to her friend.

Additionally present were Mel’s sister Danielle Brown, Daisy Lowe, Katherine Ryan, and Gaby Roslin – all elegantly attired for the occasion.

In November 2022, Mel officially became engaged to Rory following three years together, as he proposed with a £100k diamond ring.

The singer has credited Rory for making her feel ‘more confident than ever’.

For quite some time, the duo have had a long-standing relationship; Rory, being a familiar face within their family circle, also serves as her personal hairstylist.

Mel has gone all out to make her wedding to Rory a flawless event, and following their vows, she’s planning an extravagant “sky celebration” by renting The Shard in London for the reception party.

The Spice Girl will gather with her companions for a meal, cocktails, and dancing, all taking place in the Shangri-La location nestled within a skyscraper offering stunning vistas of the city from its 95 stories.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement!
