The preparations for Mel B’s upcoming wedding, which is scheduled for this coming Saturday, have already started as she prepares to take her third walk down the aisle.

50-year-old former Spice Girl is set to marry hairdresser Rory McPhee in St Paul’s Cathedral, with reports suggesting a traditional white wedding ceremony. Following the nuptials, a grand £28,000 reception will take place at The Shard.

Large arrangements filled with white blossoms could be spotted making their way through the main entrance, just before the arrival of the guests.

TopMob recognizes that Rory’s brother Jordan will serve as the best man, whereas James Steen, a friend, will step in to perform the role of the bride’s father (in place of Martin Brown, who has passed away) and escort her down the aisle. Mel’s nieces will be the little girls carrying flowers.

It appears that a notable number of celebrities are expected to show up, but the star-studded roster seems a bit thin following the announcement by TopMob that Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell won’t make it to the event. Additionally, it’s uncertain whether Emma Bunton or Melanie Chisholm will be there as well, with one of them expected to be absent.

According to reports, Posh (age 51) is expected to travel overseas, but prior to the event, she expressed heartfelt praise for her friend on Instagram with great enthusiasm.

Victoria was thinking about Mel, who is 50 years old, as she posted a heartwarming vintage photo from their band days on Instagram along with their fellow musicians.

Meanwhile Geri’s no show is said to be down to hers and Mel’s tempestuous relationship.

According to reports, Mel is planning to swap her iconic leopard-print outfit for a traditional white wedding dress as she aims to exude an air of royalty and formality on her special day.

It’s clear that Mel plans to transport her guests from St Paul’s Cathedral to The Shard, located at the base of London Bridge’s south end, using traditional Routemasters reminiscent of those seen in the movie Spice World. These particular Routemasters were refurbished vintage buses.

However, bandmate Geri is not set to be in attendance. 

After Mel disclosed during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that she had a romantic involvement with Geri while the band was just getting started, the two women found themselves at odds and eventually engaged in conflict.

2019 saw a shocking disclosure that left Geri visibly distraught, an incident for which, as far as I know, Mel has yet to express regret or apology.

In the meantime, rival music executives Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller are preparing for an uncomfortable encounter, as they both intend to attend Mel’s lavish wedding.

It’s clear that the two Simons have had their fair share of disagreements, as they’ve found themselves involved in two legal disputes, suggesting they may not enjoy a close friendship.

They reached a settlement but the battle erupted again in 2011 over producer credits.

Fuller is set to arrive alone, while Cowell will attend with fiancée Lauren Silverman. 

A source said: ‘I’m sure everyone involved will behave impeccably.’

Mel is getting married for the third time, having tied the knot with Dutch backup dancer Jimmy Gulzar back in 1998 as her first husband.

For her big day, Mel wore a Vegas showgirl-style feathered headdress with a white and gold dress.

In 2007, she secretly married Stephen Belafonte in Las Vegas, and the next year, they celebrated a vow renewal ceremony in Egypt.

2016 saw Mel and Stephen part ways following allegations from her that he had subjected her to emotional and physical abuse. However, he has consistently maintained his innocence regarding these claims.

His lawyers said that during the marriage they spent her £50million fortune.

Mel grew close to Rory after the breakdown of her marriage to Stephen. 

In the previous year, she mentioned that he is a long-standing family acquaintance and an exceptionally skilled hairdresser. When she returned to England, he would often visit her home for hair care sessions.

‘As he gently tended to my hair, it seemed like he was also fostering my trust and faith in our bond.’

Prior to their relationship, it came to light that Rory had been a good friend of Mel’s cousin, actor Christian Cooke, for quite some time. They first crossed paths during their school days in the 90s.

Apart from mentioning that their relationship blossomed later, she added that Rory had always held a special place in her heart even before they started dating, as he was one of her late father Martin’s favorites.
