Modeled after the greatest invention humanity has ever ‘made’, Mecha Shifty, who is modeled after the greatest human to have ever existed in the Ark, Shifty!
Has so many abilities, yet the most impressive thing she can do is pull bananas out of her chest.
Very Nikke-like, and yet she is not a Nikke… she can even receive seeds.

Mekami Shifty uses the power of AAA batteries to bravely overcome any threat she encounters. You should be grateful, because you wouldn’t have much of a chance without her! She’s incredibly powerful, able to travel vast distances – hundreds of light years – in just a few days. But be warned: her Neutering Beam is particularly dangerous for men and might be even more frightening than her usual attacks.

When using this skill,

it is vital that you also yell the following:

Giving her unlimited ammo is a nice feature, but it hides the reload animation we worked hard on – it’d be great if players could see it! You can actually see the animation if she’s behind cover and gets a temporary boost to her maximum ammo during a fight.

Mekami Shifty can’t be harmed by anyone weaker than her. Attacks that would instantly kill others? They don’t even faze her. She seems to be acting, though… wait, what was that noise? My ears are ringing…

Burst: Ultra Shifty

I had planned to hide coded messages—using things like ASCII or Morse code—in the descriptions of my skills for April Fools’ Day again this year. However, AI can now decode those types of messages almost instantly, so I decided against it.

I’m really unhappy because of artificial intelligence. I used to blame a program called Enikk, thinking of it as my biggest enemy, but I’ve decided to forgive it – it’s actually quite charming!

Just a little joke! If you ask AI a question, it’s polite to say thank you afterward. Plus, who knows, maybe we’ll all be bowing to our new AI overlords someday!

She swaps her usual beam attack for a colossal form of herself, instantly hitting every enemy on screen! It’s a devastating move – Regular Raptures don’t stand a chance against such a powerful strike, and are flattened like bugs.

Naturally, being hit by a giant woman still really hurts, but it’s not as devastating as a direct hit from a nuclear explosion. It’s painful, of course, but the data shows a clear difference in impact.

Okay, I’ll be honest, I’d really like to be stepped on by Mekami Shifty… but definitely not if I were huge!

Fun fact, my game crashed on three separate occasions after using this move.

Okay, so here’s a weird but cool thing I learned! Apparently, when we thank AIs for helping us, it actually uses up a lot of their computing power and costs the companies money. But, they say it’s still polite to do it, and honestly, I agree! It’s like thanking Mekami Shifty after a tough battle – just a nice thing to do, even if it’s a robot (or AI)!

Campaign

Although Mekami Shifty isn’t as strong in terms of stats as Mecha Shifty, many find her much more appealing. However, there’s a significant downside: while Mecha Shifty constantly boasts about her power, bringing Mekami Shifty into battle with other Nikkes will likely lead to your team’s destruction before they can defeat the enemy. Her flirty and often awkward dialogue, combined with her appearance, is actually a bigger liability than her skills in combat.

If you bring her to the party, make sure you have a backup plan to get away.

Arena

Mekami Shifty is incredibly powerful – opponents, even from other species, often forfeit before the battle even begins! Thankfully, she’s restrained enough to avoid fighting in the Arena except against a copy of herself. If two Mekami Shiftys did fight, the battle would never end, but a five-minute timer thankfully forces a draw. Thanks for that rule, Mustang.

Okay, so I’m a little worried about this character. The way the game works, if she goes up against herself, a tie actually counts as a loss for her! Seriously? That seems… rough. Honestly, watching her fight herself would probably be super boring, just endless ties. I think it’s best to keep her away from other characters, just in case she causes even more problems by, well, talking to them!

Strengths

BEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAM
Full of Ultraman references.
Better than Shifty and Syuen in combat.
Cooler than Mecha Shifty, thanks to her looks and poses.
So irresistible, even dogs want to mate with her… wait, that doesn’t sound right, sorry.

Weaknesses

Diesel’s ultrasonic singing. This makes her inferior to Mecha Shifty as far as we know, who was not subject to Diesel’s singing.
Her awesome reload is difficult to see in normal circumstances.
The booty spanking scene was not a lobby background… truly a disappointment.
Worse than Mecha Shifty in combat, numbers wise.
