Meghann Fahy revealed that her boyfriend, Leo Woodall, wasn’t immediately interested in her when they first met on the set of The White Lotus.

I’m hearing a lot about this lovely couple! It seems the actress, who’s 35, and Leonardo have been dating since 2023. They actually first connected while working on the second season of that popular HBO drama back in the previous year – such a sweet on-set romance!

Meghann portrayed Daphne, the wife of Cameron, played by Theo James. Leo played Jack, a playful character from Essex.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how relationships begin! It’s lovely to hear that Meghann revealed she actually took the initiative with Leo, 29, who’s usually quite private about his personal life. It’s refreshing to know she made the first move!

She shared that she’d given Leo her phone number when they first met, but he initially wasn’t interested.

Meghann revealed: ‘Leo’s character doesn’t come in until episode three.

I gave him my phone number when he arrived, because I understood what it was like to be late. But he never actually contacted me.

She recalled that months later, he told her he hadn’t realized she was interested. She responded, surprised, reminding him that she had given him her phone number and wondered how he could have missed the signal.

Meghann explains that after she was more upfront, she and the other person quickly became close friends, and that’s how their relationship developed.

In a February 2025 interview with ELLE magazine, Leo discussed his relationship with Meghann.

Leo explained he prefers to keep their relationship private, saying they’re good at doing so and don’t want to share details publicly.

I think that’s the only approach. You constantly see couples sharing every detail of their lives on social media, and it just doesn’t seem enjoyable to me.

A healthy relationship needs to feel secure, so sharing details about it with others can actually be harmful.

It was obvious the couple wanted privacy when they attended last year’s Bridget Jones premiere and walked the red carpet separately.

Despite this, they put on a loved up display at the movie’s after party. 

Meghann once called her relationship with the actor a ‘wonderful blessing’ in a heartfelt message.

As someone who’s spent a lot of time observing relationships, I’ve realized how important shared understanding can be. For me personally, I’d find it really tough to be with someone who didn’t at least have some involvement in the creative world – ideally, someone like a director or a writer. It’s not about the job title, it’s about ‘getting’ the lifestyle and the demands it brings.

It’s amazing when you share a uniquely personal experience with someone, and they truly understand. That feeling of connection – when you can simply look at your partner across a room and feel known, and they acknowledge that understanding with a knowing glance – is, to me, the most wonderful thing.
