Meghan Trainor has stopped drinking coffee every day, a change she made along with other lifestyle adjustments, including a ‘mommy makeover.’
After having her sons, Riley (age four) and Barry (age two), with her husband Daryl Sabara, Meghan Trainor had breast augmentation surgery and lost 60 pounds.
Earlier this year, fans began speculating about the 31-year-old’s weight loss, noticing her slimmer figure as the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic gained attention in Hollywood.
In April, she confirmed the rumors, stating she had been using Mounjaro, a medication similar to Ozempic that was first created as a treatment for diabetes.
She recently revealed she gave up coffee because it was a constant cycle of needing it to get through the day, then experiencing energy crashes and difficulty sleeping at night, according to People magazine.
After Ryan Sabara consulted a psychic, he learned that his wife was consuming excessive amounts of coffee, which the psychic believed was causing her to burn out. The psychic warned that she was using coffee as a stimulant, leading to a cycle of energy spikes followed by exhaustion.

Trainor was surprised that the psychic accurately guessed her caffeine habit, despite having never met her before.
I remember being shocked – I wondered how she found out. When he told me, I quit immediately. I’d been drinking all day just to cope and feel okay, then I’d crash and need more to fall asleep, but after hearing that, I stopped completely.
She was really struggling with her hormones and exhaustion. It made me question things – I eat well and exercise regularly, so why was I feeling so bad? Then I realized I was pushing myself too hard.
After a difficult week of cutting back on coffee, she successfully broke her habit and now feels more energetic than before.
Starting in June, she’ll be touring without caffeine, but she still intends to keep up her usual pace: pushing through on little to no sleep and giving it her all.
She recently revealed that she developed gestational diabetes during her pregnancy with Barry. This led her to become very focused on her health and start a fitness plan that helped her lose the weight she gained after giving birth, as she shared on Los Angeles radio station KBIG.
While gestational diabetes usually disappears after pregnancy, the Mayo Clinic notes that it’s linked to an increased chance of developing type 2 diabetes in the future.
After receiving the diagnosis, Trainor realized she needed to prioritize her health and fitness to continue touring. She explained that she wanted to be strong enough to easily lift her children without injuring herself.

As someone who’s dedicated to feeling your best, I’ve really prioritized understanding my body – specifically, my gut health and hormones. Honestly, it’s become non-negotiable! I’ve found that when I’m not feeling physically good, it’s incredibly difficult to perform at my peak – and let’s face it, life demands a lot of energy!
I’m so excited about Trainer’s new song, ‘Still Don’t Care’! It’s basically her response to all the trolls who obsess over her, and honestly, the lyrics are everything. She’s calling herself ‘too cool to cry’ and ‘too hot to stress,’ and it’s such a powerful message – she’s just completely unbothered, and I’m living for it!
Despite appearing confident, she recently revealed she was actually quite upset by the negative reaction she got after losing weight.
It’s strange—just when I started to feel proud of myself and accept who I am, I began receiving a lot of negativity. I was really confused and hurt that taking care of myself made so many people upset.
She explained that after releasing “All About That Bass” when she was nineteen, people commented on her weight loss, asking why she had become thinner.
Trainor copes with harsh criticism by leaning on her family and friends, and with the help of her therapist, who pointed out that she was letting strangers have too much influence over her feelings.
When her therapist gently corrected her, she immediately thought, ‘Ugh, I don’t want to let anyone else control me! I want to be strong and independent, and not worry about what others think.’

She revealed she was using the drug Mounjaro on April Fool’s Day, responding to online speculation that started after people noticed a change in her appearance on the red carpet.
She admitted she’s changed in the last decade, explaining she’s been focused on becoming healthier and stronger, both for herself and to be a good example for her children.
After having my second baby, I focused on getting back in shape. I worked with a nutritionist, made big changes to my daily habits, and started training with a fitness professional. I also used medication, specifically Mounjaro, along with support from others, and I’m really happy with the results – I feel fantastic!
She raised a toast to recognizing achievements, personal development, and prioritizing self-care. She encouraged everyone to focus on what’s truly important, and ended her message with ‘With love’.
Trainor has gained a lot of fans for being open and honest about her weight loss journey, including the medical procedures she’s had.
This March, she excitedly showed off her breast augmentation and lift on Instagram.
Honestly, I always hated my boobs. It was a lifelong thing – they were so uneven and just… droopy. I really struggled with it before I finally decided to get something done about it.
While discussing her past appearance, she shared old videos of herself posing in a see-through white top without a bra.

She announced her upcoming surgery in a post created with Motiva, the company that made her breast implants. She said she chose Motiva because the implants feel and look natural.
She said her breasts now look noticeably fuller, but still natural, and are in proportion with her body. She described them as matching each other perfectly, rather than being noticeably different in size.
She showed off the results of her breast augmentation a few months after telling everyone she was getting the surgery.
She announced in November 2024 that she was considering the procedure, as she had finished breastfeeding.
She described fluctuating milk supply during breastfeeding, explaining on her podcast, Workin’ On It, that her breasts would become full, then empty, and then full again.

The singer of ‘All About That Bass’ jokingly revealed she’s experienced weight fluctuations, saying she’s gone from larger to smaller sizes and now has lost weight, resulting in less firm breasts.
‘What’s really difficult is when I’m trying on all these amazing outfits for tour and for shows coming up, I have to wear the most supportive bras,’ she said.
They make my clothes look bad and feel really uncomfortable. I’ve been saying for years that I’d love to get breast implants.
She revealed she’d always dreamed of getting breast implants, and was excited to finally have a fuller chest that would lift her figure.
The trainer admitted the results wouldn’t be significant, saying they’d likely be very small. However, they added that achieving even a small result would be a major boost to their own confidence.
