As a film fan, I was surprised and excited to hear that Meghan Markle is returning to the screen! It’s been a while since she played Rachel Zane on Suits, and honestly, after she got engaged to Prince Harry, I figured her acting days were over. It’s great to see she’s stepping back in front of the camera for a new film – I’m really curious to see what she does with it.
According to People magazine, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has begun filming her new comedy movie, Close Personal Friends. She was seen on set in Pasadena, California, on November 5, 2025. The Amazon MGM film also features Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, Henry Golding, and Lily Collins.
Jason Orley directed Close Personal Friends, working from a screenplay by Isaac Aptaker, whom he also collaborated with on the story. According to sources at People, Meghan Markle appeared “very relaxed and happy,” taking the time to introduce herself to everyone and being genuinely kind and approachable.
