Okay, so you might remember Meghan Markle from shows like Suits and even Horrible Bosses – she was a pretty big actress! When she married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex, she kinda stepped away from acting, but she’s done a few documentaries and lifestyle things since then. But now, it sounds like she’s thinking about getting back into acting, which is cool! I’m kinda excited to see what she does.
According to Variety, Meghan Markle will have a brief appearance in the upcoming movie Close Personal Friends, which is made by the same team that created the romantic comedy I Want You Back.
The story centers around two couples – a famous pair and an everyday couple – who connect during a trip to Santa Barbara. They initially bond as friends, but their relationship gets complicated when boundaries are blurred.

The film stars Lily Collins (known from Emily in Paris), Jack Quaid (The Boys), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Henry Golding (Last Christmas). Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live) and Natasia Demetriou (What We Do in the Shadows) appear in supporting roles.
Currently, a movie is being filmed in Los Angeles. Jason Orley is directing, and Isaac Aptaker wrote the script and is producing, alongside producer Elizabeth Berger.
The TV show Suits ended in 2019, shortly after Meghan Markle departed. It then gained huge popularity a few years later when it became available on Netflix.
Looking back on the show’s unexpected popularity, Meghan Markle shared in late 2023: “It’s amazing, isn’t it? It was a wonderful experience working with such a talented cast and crew, and we all really enjoyed ourselves.”
It’s become rare to find a show that really grabs you and makes you want to watch many episodes back-to-back. That might be a factor here. But truly great shows tend to stand the test of time.
The show’s recent popularity sparked a spin-off called Suits LA, featuring the return of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter.
Unfortunately, it didn’t really take off, and was axed after just one season.
