Veteran actress Megan Gallagher, known for more than 50 roles on screen, starred in the popular show Hill Street Blues for multiple years during the late 1980s.
A Pennsylvania-born actor portrayed Officer Tina Russo over 19 episodes, from 1986 to 1987. As the series became an unprecedented hit, they garnered a devoted fanbase.
I couldn’t help but notice that she graced not just one, but numerous successful shows! From China Beach and The Slap Maxwell Story to The Larry Sanders Show and Millennium, her presence was unmissable in hit series after hit series.
And there was a role in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
A week ago, the 65-year-old artist was spotted uncommonly in Los Angeles, dressed in relaxed attire. She combined a black tank top with dark trousers, accessorized with a cap and sneakers, while taking a brisk stroll.

Following her time at the Juilliard School, she secured a part in a play based on Paul Osborn’s work titled “Oliver Oliver.
Following this, LCDR JoAnne Galloway made her appearance in the 1989 Broadway rendition of Aaron Sorkin’s play “A Few Good Men”. Tom Cruise and Demi Moore starred in the movie adaptation.
1993 saw her involvement in the Broadway performances of both sections of Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes – Millennium Approaches and Perestroika.
Next came Los Angeles.
Initially, she starred in the miniseries about George Washington, and later on, she secured a guest role in the premiere episode of L.A. Law.
She then went on to appear as a series regular towards the end of Hill Street Blues’ run.

In the whirlwind of my fandom, I can’t help but marvel at the trajectory of her career. She graced our screens in “The Slap Maxwell Story” and “China Beach” prior to that. Remarkably, a role in “Millennium” was crafted specifically for her talent, even before she dazzled us on “The Larry Sanders Show.
Gallagher also appeared in the legal drama Suits, which is best known for starring Meghan Markle.
As a kid, she used to accompany her mother to Broadway theater performances, which sparked her interest and motivation to pursue acting.
Gallagher, who finds Mary Tyler Moore inspiring, studied acting at The Juilliard School in New York City after graduating from Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School.
Gallagher is married to actor Jeff Yagher; together they have twins.
