Megan Gale recently got married and showed off her wedding ring at a Lancôme event in Sydney on Tuesday night.
Model Shaun Hampson, age 50, and his partner, former AFL player aged 38, had a very private wedding ceremony in Fiji in 2024, attended only by close family and friends.
Megan was seen wearing both her engagement ring and a new diamond wedding band at the glamorous party.
Married life clearly agrees with her as the beauty was looking very fresh and youthful.
Megan appeared much younger than her years as she posed in a semi-sheer black gown.
The dress sat close to her famous model figure, and featured some draping along one shoulder.
Megan chose a radiant makeup style, using plenty of highlighter and a pink lip gloss. She styled her brown hair in loose, soft curls.
She finished the ensemble with a mini pink designer purse.
The statuesque beauty previously confirmed that the couple exchanged vows in December 2024.
It was just a really private moment for them. They only invited their moms and their kids – nobody else knew it was happening, and there wasn’t a big guest list at all. It felt so special and close-knit, like it was just for their immediate family.
Gale shared that their decision was a true reflection of their relationship – they’re a private couple who prefer to keep things simple and avoid unnecessary attention.
‘We never wanted a big, public, showy wedding,’ she told Marie Claire magazine.
She explained that after living much of her life in the public eye, it was a welcome change to keep this particular part of her life private.
‘We wanted it just for us and the family.’
Gale chose the tropical island of Vomo for its beautiful beaches and clear water, a place that felt particularly special to her because of her Polynesian roots.
She also revealed the couple told loved ones at the last minute to maintain total discretion.
‘We told them at dinner the night before,’ said Megan.
‘There was a lot of “What? No way!” But it made it more special.’
The couple kept their wedding a secret for a full year. Gale explained they only felt ready to share the news now that some time had gone by.
The actress, who started her career as a model, has said she doesn’t feel pressured to get married after being with her partner for 14 years, finding the idea of wedding planning overwhelming.
She playfully said it felt like they’d been engaged forever, then explained the reasons for their delayed wedding.
‘Look, it was always something […] that we were in no rush to do.
‘Traditionally everyone’s like: get engaged, plan the wedding, have the kids.
I’ve never dreamed of a big wedding. It all just seems like too much effort, and honestly, the thought of planning one is tiring.
Megan said that for her, having a family was a much bigger priority than having a large wedding.
Megan and Shaun had two children, River, who is eleven, and Rosie, who is eight, before Shaun proposed in 2017.
We decided to wait until the children were old enough to participate in the wedding and have memories of it, she explained.
