Mega Charizard X to arrive with confirmed Inferno X Pokémon TCG set
Fans of the fire-dragon Pokemon, Charizard, can look forward to more excitement, since one of its Mega Evolutions will be featured prominently in an upcoming Pokemon Trading Card Game release.
On September 26, 2025, a fresh Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) collection named Inferno X is set to arrive at Japanese retailers. This collection showcases Mega Charizard X, aligning with the recent announcement that Mega Pokemon will reappear in the franchise’s card game this year.
Despite no official card releases as of now, enthusiasts of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) hold a special esteem for Mega Charizard. Its X and Y forms have graced coveted sets such as Flashfire, Generations, and Evolutions in the past.
Similar to previous Mega Pokémon cards, it’s likely that the new Mega Charizard card will become a common sight in Standard format decks due to its powerful abilities. Mega Pokémon are known for their impressive moves capable of inflicting at least 200 damage points and having HP levels that can reach up to 300.
It’s possible that Mega Charizard X isn’t the sole Mega Pokemon card in Inferno X, as indications from the Pokemon Trading Card Game franchise suggest a comeback of popular Mega Evolutions that have been absent for quite some time.
What about an English release for Mega Charizard ex?
It’s highly probable that we’ll see English cards from Inferno X featuring Black Bolt and White Flare, given they’ve both received early notifications about their upcoming English releases.
There’s talk within the Pokemon community that Inferno X’s English card series might debut in November, possibly making it one of the last sets to be released in 2025. However, keep in mind this information hasn’t been confirmed by The Pokemon Company yet, so it should be taken with a bit of skepticism for now.
Prior to introducing the new Mega Charizard series, it appears that the franchise is going to launch the Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia collections initially. It’s unclear at this point if these collections will be similar to the dual release of Black Bolt and White Flare, but fans should stay tuned for official updates in the upcoming months.
