Mega Camerupt spews lava for a Pokémon GO Raid Day debut

Another unreleased Mega enters Pokémon GO, and this time, it’s the Eruption Pokémon!

Pokémon GO will continue its focus on Mega Evolution in September 2025, with Mega Camerupt making its debut as the featured Pokémon for a special Raid Day following the recent Mega Sharpedo event.

Camerupt lives inside volcano craters and can store magma within its own body. The volcanoes on its back are active, erupting roughly every decade or when it’s agitated. When Camerupt Mega Evolves, these volcanoes combine into one larger volcano that constantly spews lava.

Mega Camerupt Raid Day in Pokémon GO

Mega Camerupt will be appearing in Raids on September 28th from 2 PM to 5 PM in your local time zone.

Event bonuses

Throughout this three-hour event, participants can benefit from the following bonuses:

  • The limit for using Remote Raid Passes is increased to 20. This bonus will take effect from September 27, 5 p.m. to September 28, 8 p.m. PDT.
  • Get five additional Raid Passes in addition to the usual free one per day. Keep on spinning Gym Photo Discs to get them!
  • Better odds of encountering Shiny Camerupt after raids.

XP Celebration Event extra bonuses

A special Mega Camerupt Raid Day is happening during the ongoing XP Celebration! Players can look forward to these extra perks:

  • Double XP from performing Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
  • +3k XP from completing raids.
  • +3k XP from completing Max Battles.

Mega Camerupt’s featured attack

This Raid Day won’t have any featured attack for Mega Camerupt.

Mega Camerupt Raid Day Pokémon GO Event Ticket

For a small fee of $5 (or the equivalent in your currency) at the Pokémon GO Store, you’ll get extra perks.

  • Take eight more Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs. Overall, you’ll get at least 14 chances to fight in Mega Camerupt raids.
  • Higher odds of getting Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles.
  • 50% more XP from clearing Raid Battles.
  • Double Stardust rewards from clearing Raid Battles.
