Get ready for a Mega Absol Raid Day in Pokémon GO.
On a special event day, Mega Absol will be making a comeback in Pokémon GO. This occasion brings along several thrilling perks, and moreover, introduces a fresh move for Mega Absol.
Although it may seem less thrilling compared to introducing a brand new Pokémon, this opportunity presents itself as a fantastic chance to obtain a desirable shiny, earn a significant amount of Experience Points (XP) and Stardust, all while enjoying the gameplay of Pokémon GO.

Mega Absol Raid Day in Pokémon GO
Mega Absol Raid Day takes place on Sunday, Mar. 23 from 2:00 p.m until 5:00 p.m. local time.
Event bonuses
- Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 from Saturday, March 22, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PDT.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Absol from Mega Raids.
Apart from the regular purchase, Trainers will have an opportunity to buy a $5 ticket that comes with extra perks or rewards.
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
Furthermore, all Trainers can access a complimentary Time-bound Research task during the occasion. This activity will grant the following rewards:
- 10,000 Stardust
- 1,000 additional Stardust for completing a Raid Battle (which stacks with the event ticket, for a maximum of 3,000 per Raid.)
Mega Absol learns new move, Brutal Swing
From the upcoming Raid Day onwards, and even beyond that point, Absol will acquire the ability to perform the Charged Attack, Brutal Swing. This is a robust Dark-type attack, and it will undoubtedly enhance Mega Absol’s power as a Dark-type Raid Boss.
This action can be learned by every Absol, using just a typical Charged Technical Machine (TM), unlike an Elite TM which is usually required.
