Fashion week isn’t just about the latest styles; it’s also a time when people talk about the celebrities and designers with well-known family names.

An increasing number of people with famous or well-connected parents are landing highly sought-after positions on fashion runways, frequently bringing with them existing fame and dedicated fans online.

While a strong walk still matters, a recognisable last name can offer a clear advantage.

However, being a child from a household name doesn’t always equate to modelling ability.

Nicole Kidman’s daughter, Sunday Rose, received some negative comments online after walking the runway at the Calvin Klein Fall 2026 fashion show this week.

With each fashion season, we’re seeing more and more children of celebrities on the runway, highlighting how powerful having a famous family can be when it comes to getting opportunities in the industry.

Sunday, 17, is the eldest daughter of actress Nicole and country singer Keith Urban,

She began her modeling career at 16, walking the runway for Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer show during Paris Fashion Week in 2024.

Even though her father was reportedly very protective and wanted her to wait before starting a career in fashion, she pursued it anyway.

After that, she secured a significant campaign with the watch brand Omega and spent three months working with Miu Miu.

Jonathan Anderson, the new creative director at Dior, recently selected this model, who was born in Nashville, to be featured in both his first womenswear fashion show and his first advertising campaign featuring both men’s and women’s clothing.

She also presented him with the Designer of the Year prize at the British Fashion Awards.

Sunday walked in the Calvin Klein Fall 2026 show this weekend, but some fashion critics didn’t approve of her walk, describing it as heavy-footed and lacking grace.

As she walked the runway, the teenager wore a loose-fitting, tan trench coat with wide, brown leather details over a buttoned shirt.

She completed the outfit with white gloves, a brown clutch, and slouchy brown leather heeled boots. Her hair was down but styled away from her face.

Mom Nicole proudly reposted a video of her daughter’s runway walk from the show on Instagram, simply captioning it: ‘New York Baby.’

But others weren’t so sure, accusing the teen of only being hired due to her famous parents.

Iris Law

Iris Law, 25, is the daughter of actor Jude Law and actress Sadie Frost.

Her famous parents were married for six years before their divorce in 2003.

The up-and-coming model, recently featured in Casablanca’s Resort 26 campaign, has quickly become a major presence in the fashion industry.

She first walked the runway for Victoria’s Secret last year, sharing the stage with models like Bella and Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Lila Moss.

According to the Daily Mail, Iris had a very particular sweet craving after the lingerie show, and her team rushed all over town trying to find them.

She reportedly asked her team to get cookies from a particular bakery and smoothies from a different one.

She’s currently the face of Versace’s Dylan Purple fragrance and is highly regarded by major fashion figures like Donatella Versace and Miuccia Prada. She’s also worked with popular brands including Burberry, Nike, David Yurman, and Victoria’s Secret.

Last month, she became the face of a new range of swimwear for Victoria’s Secret.

The Victoria’s Secret Pink and Frankies Bikinis swimwear collection will launch on the Frankies Bikinis UK website in early March, and will be available in select stores across the UK later that month.

Scarlett white

Scarlett White is a 19-year-old who’s the oldest child and only daughter of model Karen Elson and musician Jack White of The White Stripes.

Jack and Karen, who is from Oldham, were married from 2005 to 2013. After their divorce, they agreed to raise their two children together.

In September 2024, during Paris Fashion Week, she was seen with her mother at the Valentino Pavillon des Folies show.

Last week, Karen shared a photo on Instagram of her daughter Scarlett from the Zara campaign. She wrote about how special it was to see Scarlett forging her own path as a young adult and meeting people who had a similar impact on her at that age, calling it a ‘full circle’ moment.

Scarlett began her modeling career last year, first appearing in a campaign for Marc Jacobs and then in a Vogue photoshoot with her mother, taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Scarlett enjoys music and modeling, and she’s currently a college student. Her parents helped her move into her dorm room in August 2024.

Karen posted photos from a memorable, yet emotional, day on Instagram, simply captioning it ‘Big Day, Big Feelings.’

Kai Schreiber

Kai Schreiber, 17, is the daughter of actors Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts.

Liev and Naomi separated in 2016 after eleven years together, but they continue to co-parent their child, Kai, who is transgender.

Since appearing in Valentino’s fall 2025 show, this up-and-coming model has walked the runway for major brands like Celine, Calvin Klein, Fendi, and Mugler.

Models.com highlighted her as a rising star for the spring 2026 season, recognizing her alongside Lennon Sorrenti, whose parents are renowned fashion photographers Vanina Sorrenti and Cedric Buchet.

Leni Klum, 21, is the daughter of supermodel Heidi Klum and businessman Flavio Briatore.

Heidi’s parents separated before she was born, but she was adopted by singer Seal shortly after he married her mother.

Leni began her modeling career in 2020 at age 16, appearing on the cover of Vogue Germany alongside her mother, a famous supermodel.

Lila Moss 

Lila Moss, 23, is the daughter of model Kate Moss and magazine editor Jefferson Hack.

They separated in November 2003, but stayed good friends and continued to co-parent their children. Jefferson even went to her wedding when she married Jamie Hince in 2011.

Following in her sister Kate’s path, Lila has also become a model. Together, they’ve graced the runways for major fashion houses like Fendi, Miu Miu, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Despite being relatively short at 5ft 6in, Lila has appeared in ad campaigns for brands like Miu Miu, Pepe Jeans, and Marc Jacobs Beauty. However, she’s frequently faced claims that her success is due to family connections rather than talent.

I’ve been following this model for a while now, and she’s made it very clear that while people assume her mom played a big role in her career, she actually made the decision to model herself. It’s great to see her take ownership of her path!

She admitted to British Vogue in 2023 that her mother hadn’t necessarily envisioned a career in fashion for her. Describing herself as shy, like her mother, she emphasized how supportive her mother has been of all her choices. However, she clarified that her mother hasn’t been involved in coaching her runway walk.

She kept saying it was all about instinct – she couldn’t explain her process, she just acted. I responded by suggesting she go back to practicing.
