Meet the new faces joining One Piece season 2: Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik

As a long-time fanatic of One Piece, I must say that the recent additions to the cast for season 2 have sent my enthusiasm soaring! Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik joining the fray is like striking gold twice in one go!

In simple terms, for the second season of “One Piece”, we’ve got two new faces joining the crew! The most recent update has introduced some heavyweights to the cast, with Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik set to appear in the live-action version of this popular anime.

Deadline announced that two new actors have joined the cast, a development that anime enthusiasts are undoubtedly thrilled about. Given that these actors will portray the characters fans have eagerly anticipated seeing in a live-action adaptation since the beginning, it’s no surprise that they’re excited!

Who will Katey Sagal play in One Piece season 2?

As an enthusiastic fan, I can’t contain my excitement about Sagal stepping into the role of Dr. Kureha for season 2! Initially, it was rumored that Jamie Lee Curtis might embody this character, but unfortunately, her busy schedule didn’t allow it. Given her popularity in Hollywood, it’s not surprising she was sought after. However, I’m thrilled to see Sagal taking on the role instead, as we eagerly await the series filming in South Africa!

It’s fine, as there’s a remarkable actress stepping into the role, replacing her. Kureha, an associate of the Straw Hat Pirates, is also the leader of the Isshi-100 on Drum Island. She’s commonly known as a witch and serves as a mentor to Tony Tony Chopper.

Who will Mark Harelik play in One Piece?

Regarding Harelik, he will assume the part of Dr. Hiriluk in this context. However, it might get perplexing when listing everyone by their last names! In the anime, Dr. Hiriluk is portrayed as a former thief who became a doctor on Drum Island. Additionally, he serves as a father figure to Tony Tony Chopper.

It’s important to note that in the anime, Hiriluk passed away due to an accidental overdose of one of his own concoctions. This unfortunate event transpired as he experimented with it. In King Wapole’s quest to eliminate doctors, Hiriluk narrowly escaped being included among those targeted—a situation reminiscent of a witch hunt. Fortunately for him, he met an untimely end before Wapole could execute him due to the accidental poisoning.

Enthusiasts can’t wait for the upcoming season of “One Piece”. At this moment, the show is being made in Cape Town, South Africa, which suggests a potential release date of 2025.
