‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ brings authentic magic to the Hollywood Pantages
The award-winning play, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, will make its debut in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.
Who is Dominic McLaughlin?
Before landing the lead role in “Harry Potter,” McLaughlin spent five years at Performance Academy Scotland learning his craft. He’s now gearing up to star in BBC’s upcoming series “Gifted,” which revolves around Scottish teenagers who unexpectedly develop superpowers, and in the Sky movie “Grow,” where he plays a grumpy pumpkin farmer alongside her orphaned niece.
The Performance Academy Scotland shared exciting news on Instagram, calling it ‘magical’! They can hardly believe it themselves, but they had always thought Dominic was ideal for the role of Harry. They’re excited for others to witness this as well.
Who is Alastair Stout?
In his acting career, “Harry Potter” marked Stout’s significant debut. Apart from this, his only other on-screen credit is an advertisement for Albert Bartlett potatoes.

Entertainment & Arts
The recently launched video game titled ‘Hogwarts Legacy,’ which takes place before the ‘Harry Potter’ series, has sparked debates about boycotting it due to concerns that its sales would endorse author J.K. Rowling and her views on transgender individuals. Some gamers are grappling with whether or not to play as a matter of personal ethics.
Who is Arabella Stanton?
In 2023 through 2024, Stanton took on the role of Matilda Wormwood in “Matilda the Musical” at London’s West End. Additionally, this talented British actress portrayed the character Control in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of “Starlight Express,” which premiered in 2024.
Who else is in the cast?
In the earlier announcement, it was revealed that John Lithgow will portray Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost takes on Rubeus Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu is cast as Severus Snape, Janet McTeer plays Minerva McGonagall, Luke Thallon assumes the role of Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse steps into Argus Filch.
How will the show differ from the movies?
HBO announced that the new show will cover a 10-year timeframe and stay true to J.K. Rowling’s novels. The initial movies featured Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. Beyond the seven blockbuster books and eight successful films, this universe also produced the “Fantastic Beasts” film prequels starring Eddie Redmayne, the stage play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” and themed zones at Universal theme parks.
