Meet the 24 Survivor Legends Returning for the Epic 50th Season!

This morning, CBS officially revealed the entire cast for the eagerly awaited 50th season of Survivor, slated to air in early 2026. This is a first as the show usually keeps the players under wraps for much longer; even the cast for Season 49 remains undisclosed, technically speaking. However, such quick revelations are common for an all-returnees season, where leaks might expose the potential contestants before they jet off to Fiji. Despite some viewers’ displeasure over less appealing additions and missing favorites—why are there so many New Era players without any participants from the 20s?—there is enough star power here to deliver something consistently entertaining and celebrate Survivor, the best competition reality series yet.

For your convenience, here’s a summary of the 24 cast members from Season 50, along with some interesting facts to keep in mind while we eagerly await next season.

Take a look at these 24 cast members for Season 50, and here are some fun facts about each one to help pass the time until the next season arrives!

Jenna Lewis Dougherty

Seasons: Borneo (1), All-Stars (8)

Placed: 8th, 3rd

It’s only fitting to honor 50 seasons of Survivor by inviting back a contestant from the very start, and choosing Borneo‘s youngest participant, Lewis Dougherty, is an intriguing yet fitting decision. Back then, Lewis was a 22-year-old college student and single mother of two, displaying a charming talkative nature. However, her most unforgettable and heartrending moment occurred during the first Loved Ones Challenge, where she missed out on a video message from her daughters. Witnessing her compete once more, at 47 years old, will add an emotional closure to the series.

Colby Donaldson

Seasons: The Australian Outback (2), All-Stars (8), Heroes vs. Villains (20)

Placed: 2nd, 12th, 5th

Initially, the show’s first formidable character and potential champion, who was almost victorious in his debut game, outperformed his intermittent rival Jerri Manthey but ultimately lost to Tina Wesson. However, subsequent appearances didn’t yield as impressive results, particularly during ‘Heroes vs. Villains,’ where he advanced far but seemed to lack the influence and physical prowess he once possessed. It remains unclear if he can adapt to today’s modified game, given that he struggled with strategic aspects even in his third season. Despite this uncertainty, it would be intriguing to see a veteran player return, although it’s hard not to miss his former rival, Manthey.

Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick

Seasons: Palau (10), Guatemala (11), Heroes vs. Villains (20)

Placed: 7th, 2nd, 19th

Kendrick LaGrossa has remained active in reality TV since her appearances on Survivor during the late 2000s, participating in The Traitors and Snake in the Grass. However, not everyone may recall how popular she was in 2005 due to her underdog story on Palau – where she became the last survivor of the infamous Ulong tribe that suffered heavy losses – possibly because of her more villainous roles on Guatemala and a quick elimination on Heroes vs. Villains. Could she manage to rekindle some of her former glory and demonstrate the resilience that once made her a legend?

Cirie Fields

Seasons: Panama (12), Micronesia (16), Heroes vs. Villains (20), Game Changers (34)

Placed: 4th, 3rd, 17th, 6th

Known as one of the top “Survivor” players never to win, Fields enters this game with a significant target on her back, possibly more so than any other returning player – especially given her recent victory on “The Traitors” and an already-filmed stint on the upcoming “Australia V The World” season of “Australian Survivor.” Her sharp social skills nearly took her to the end in her first two seasons, but ultimately led to her early elimination in the third – and in “Game Changers,” she was the unfortunate victim of “Advantage-geddon,” a dramatic moment where she was sent home despite no one voting for her. This could provide a logical reason for a chance at redemption, and in some ways, she would be the ideal winner – though it’s difficult to imagine others allowing her near a Final Tribal Council. By now, Fields may have become more famous than “Survivor” itself.

Ozzy Lusth

Seasons: Cook Islands (13), Micronesia (16), South Pacific (23), Game Changers (34)

Placed: 2nd, 9th, 4th, 12th

Where does Ozzy Lusth proceed in his Survivor journey? An unquestionable figure and early challenge force, he came close to winning on his debut season against the cunning Yul Kwon, only to be shockingly betrayed by his ally/romantic partner Amanda Kimmel mid-game in Micronesia. His daring move in South Pacific, where he asked to be voted out so he could return via Redemption Island, further solidified his formidable reputation. However, it remains uncertain if Lusth can significantly improve his social strategies beyond relying on his physical prowess throughout all four of his appearances on the show.

Benjamin “Coach” Wade

Seasons: Tocantins (18), Heroes vs. Villains (20), South Pacific (23)

Placed: 5th, 12th, 2nd

As a dedicated fan, I must say that the so-called “Dragon Slayer” stands out as one of the most peculiar and captivating characters ever seen on Survivor – perhaps even across all reality TV shows: an eccentric and spiritually inclined individual with a knack for spinning yarns (whether they’re tall tales or accounts of his extraordinary life remains a mystery). In South Pacific, his enigmatic yet effective cult-leader demeanor landed him in the finals; however, his unwillingness to admit his manipulative tactics cost him the game. Fast forward fourteen years, I wonder if Coach has gained any self-awareness and can adapt without the immediate grasp of power? Regardless, it promises to be an entertaining spectacle.

Aubry Bracco

Seasons: Kaôh Rōng (32), Game Changers (34), Edge of Extinction (38)

Placed: 2nd, 5th, 16th

Despite the general consensus that Bracco should have won Survivor Kaôh Rōng, her transformation from a nervous introvert into a strategic force didn’t result in a compelling social game or persuasive performance at the Final Tribal Council. Her subsequent appearances on Game Changers and Edge of Extinction were not well-edited and less impactful compared to her potential. Therefore, Season 50 might offer Bracco an opportunity to demonstrate her skills effectively and rectify any misconceptions about her abilities.

Chrissy Hofbeck

Season: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (35)

Placed: 2nd

In one of its less thrilling seasons, “Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers” was often criticized for being forgettable, with the final four fire-making challenge and Ben Driebergen’s victory as the standout moments. However, Hofbeck gave a valiant effort, matching a female record by winning four Immunity Challenges in a single season and reaching the finale. Despite this, her social game was not well-regarded by the jury. Since players from these mid-thirties seasons rarely get a second chance, Hofbeck’s opportunity to return is long overdue.

Mike White

Season: David vs. Goliath (37)

Placed: 2nd

Among the names on this list, Mike White, an actor-writer, is undeniably the most recognized beyond the realm of Survivor enthusiasts. By 2018, he had already gained fame from ‘School of Rock’, and his subtle yet charming performance in the beloved season David vs. Goliath was a fan favorite. Today, he’s nearly a household name, particularly known for his role as the creator behind The White Lotus. In fact, he often includes appearances by some of his former Survivor castmates in each season. Given his keen strategic mind and robust social game, it’s exciting to see such a high-profile celebrity return to the show.

Angelina Keeley

Season: David vs. Goliath (37)

Placed: 3rd

Natalie, may I borrow your coat?” The question, reminiscent of a scene from ‘David vs. Goliath,’ stands out in the minds of many viewers, delivered by a contestant who ended up as the second runner-up and addressed to the woman she had just voted off. Keeley is an unforgettable character from ‘Survivor’ who seems destined to create intriguing dynamics with any other cast member. To fans, she is endearingly oblivious, but to her fellow competitors, she can be gratingly so. This choice of casting, regardless of whether Keeley will surpass her record as a zero-vote finalist, seems like another excellent decision.

Christian Hubicki

Season: David vs. Goliath (37)

Placed: 7th

In the new era of “Survivor,” there’s an abundance of brainy enthusiasts, but few can match the stardom of this well-loved robotics scientist, a highly anticipated returnee. During his initial season, Hubicki was already making a substantial impact strategically and socially, executing numerous key moves and forging strong bonds with cast members like Nick Wilson and especially Gabby Pascuzzi. He could potentially go even farther in Season 50, given the presence of other formidable competitors.

Rick Devens

Season: Edge of Extinction (38)

Placed: 4th

Devens was eliminated early in the game on “Edge of Extinction”, but due to the unique twist of the season, he managed to come back and become either a significant asset or annoying obstacle. He set a record for having the most Hidden Immunity Idols in one season. Since his active participation in the Survivor community, including co-hosting the “On Fire with Jeff Probst” podcast, Devens has been anticipated to make a comeback for another round. However, he’s not among the top choices for this potential return.

Jonathan Young

Season: 42

Placed: 4th

In a season where most were small like shrimps, Young towered with his massive size and physical strength. However, his somewhat arrogant demeanor and emphasis on male camaraderie rubbed some of his fellow contestants the wrong way, leading to his elimination at the Final 4 challenge involving fire-making. While Young was one of the first formidable competitors in the new era, he hasn’t quite reached icon status like others from more recent times.

Emily Flippen

Season: 45

Placed: 7th

Initially struggling to connect with the consistently defeated Lulu group on season 45, Flippen appeared somewhat out of sync socially. However, her ally Kaleb Gebrewold guided her through adjustments, allowing her to exhibit more compassion and modesty, thereby extending her stay in the game. It’s intriguing to predict whether she’ll adopt a low-key strategy again in season 50 or decide to break out of her shell and make daring moves – the latter could prove more exciting.

Dee Valladares

Season: 45

Placed: 1st

Choosing two past champions, both hailing from the New Era, may seem unusual, but Valladares could potentially bring something new to the table. In the game of 45, she exhibited a strong physical, social, and strategic prowess, leading the Reba Four alliance and influencing most post-merge votes. However, she seldom had to defend herself or execute complicated strategies. In a game like 50, where more players are likely to play aggressively, she might need to be more cunning in her moves.

Quintavius “Q” Burdette

Season: 46

Placed: 6th

During his tenure, Q stood out as an undeniable beacon of the New Era, embodying raw chaos and masculine ego with a penchant for control issues and an enigmatic approach to the game. (He requested his fellow tribe members to oust him on two separate occasions.) However, these imperfections—alongside the peculiar allure that occasionally surfaced—made him captivating television. Is it likely he’ll secure a victory in Season 50? It’s highly unlikely. But will he contribute to the entertainment value? Absolutely.

Charlie Davis

Season: 46

Placed: 2nd

In another words: In Survivor 46, if the destructive force was the hurricane Q, Davis stood out as a beacon of tranquility and good humor at the heart of the game. He often quoted Taylor Swift tunes, hiding his strategic intelligence in the process. Many spectators felt he should have won at the Final Tribal Council, but due to a bitter payback from Maria Shrime Gonzalez, an old ally he deceived, he fell just short. Now, Davis is a strong candidate for a return; interestingly, his perceived danger level may seem less among these larger personalities compared to competing against all the New Era players.

Tiffany Nicole Ervin

Season: 46

Placed: 8th

Even though Ervin managed to connect with a Secret Immunity Idol and strong allies, she might seem unpredictable to return for a major anniversary season. However, it will be entertaining to observe her interplay once more with Q, who has been a constant thorn in her side, both before and after the merge.

Genevieve Mushaluk

Season: 47

Placed: 5th

As a die-hard movie buff, I can’t help but marvel at the captivating performance of Mushaluk during Season 47. Her masterful manipulation of tribemates such as Kishan Patel and Sol Yi, culminating in their surprising eliminations, was nothing short of mesmerizing. Yet, it was her open admission of avoiding personal connections that added an intriguing layer to her character. However, her regret over the loss of trust from her ally Teeny Chirichillo highlighted the potential pitfalls of such a strategy. Will Mushaluk prioritize relationship-building this time around? And will she once again weave grand strategies or choose to fade into the background? Only time will tell.

Kyle Fraser

Season: 48

Placed: 1st

It’s surprising to see Fraser back so soon after winning $1 million last week, but given that he deserved the win by skillfully maintaining his secret alliance with Kamilla Karthigesu while staying loyal to Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson, it’s not entirely unwelcome. As both Karthigesu and Hunter will be back for Season 50, we wonder if Fraser will attempt to start fresh or stay true to his trusted allies. The future is uncertain!

Joe Hunter

Season: 48

Placed: 3rd

In simpler terms, the runner-up from the latest season of Survivor has a dedicated fanbase, and his heartwarming bond with Erickson (who he supported during several autistic episodes) was touching at times. However, many viewers found his unwavering loyalty and heroic portrayal to be overly dramatic, especially when the other cast members refused to turn against him, allowing him to reach the Final Tribal Council. This season, he has a high chance of reaching the halfway point due to his physical strength; however, whether we want to see this occur again is a different matter entirely.

Kamilla Karthigesu

Season: 48

Placed: 4th

Among all contestants in Season 48, Karthigesu is arguably the one who deserves another chance the most. Her close relationship with Fraser, both personally and strategically, was a central element of the season, and her amusing and engaging confessionals added depth to the show. However, due to the tribe dynamics, where Hunter and Erickson held significant power, Karthigesu wasn’t able to fully shine. It would be intriguing to observe her play a more autonomous game with greater freedom to make moves. Yet, re-casting Fraser and Hunter could potentially complicate this independent gameplay.

Mystery Players

Season: 49

It’s been widely discussed and hinted that the identities of the contestants for the upcoming fall season have been leaked or guessed at, but CBS hasn’t confirmed anything officially yet. Even when their names are revealed, we won’t know much about their characters or gameplay until the fall airing. However, they’ll need to make a lasting impact just to be chosen for this season. Interestingly, seasons 49 and 50 are being filmed simultaneously, so these two will have limited opportunities to stand out.
