It is exclusive news that Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden, a 50-something Infrastructure Engineer and avid sailor hailing from Sydney, has been selected as the main character in the upcoming Australian remake.

In exclusive pictures, Myrden was seen filming the show in Sydney on Wednesday. 

He took on the persona of James Bond, cruising an old-fashioned Italian speedboat across the Harbor, clad in a sleek black tuxedo with a coordinating black bow tie.

In his role as a father of three, Myrden is a well-respected figure in the tech sector, where he currently manages data centers for the Woolworths Group.

For several decades, he has been a key figure, having occupied top positions at prominent organizations such as Macquarie Bank and the New South Wales Port Authority.

Though his professional life has thrived, it’s been learned from trusted sources at Daily Mail Australia that his personal story has been marred by sorrow – Myrden is a widower.

A pal disclosed that Bear frequently expresses dissatisfaction, claiming his friends believe he’s associating with underage girls who are overly attractive for his age.

Ivanna Tang, a casting agent, chose an unconventional approach by trying to attract horse racing spectators for the upcoming spin-off series instead.

In Australia, The Golden Bachelor’s broadcasting rights were acquired by nine, and it has been announced that Samantha will be the host of this popular reality dating show.

At Nine’s Upfronts in November, her upcoming role as host on The Golden Bachelor television show was officially announced, revealing the network’s lineup of programs for the year 2025 to the gathered guests.

In simple terms, the American edition of the show has been incredibly popular, attracting a staggering 6.1 million viewers for its final episode. This makes it the highest-viewed finale of The Bachelor in the U.S. since 2021.
