Mean Girls star falls for a hot snowman in Netflix’s Christmas rom-com
As a gamer who’s lived through countless holiday seasons and movie marathons, I must say that the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Christmas rom-com “Hot Frosty” has piqued my interest like never before! The blend of frosty fun, romantic intrigue, and a dash of nostalgia (courtesy of Lacey Chabert and Lindsay Lohan) is an intoxicating mix that I can’t help but be drawn to.
The initial preview for the upcoming Netflix holiday romance movie titled “Hot Frosty” is out now, featuring a clever nod to the film “Mean Girls“.
In an upcoming holiday film, Lacey Chabert from the beloved high school series takes on the role of a widow. Her life undergoes a dramatic change when she develops feelings for a vivacious snowman that comes to life.
In the trailer, Cathy is shown amidst a tough situation in her life. However, she receives a red scarf with the advice, “Good fortune awaits you in the chill.
Later on, she encounters a snowman that looks like the ancient Greek god of beauty, which she wraps her scarf around. Not too much time passes before this snowy figure is magically brought to life by Dustin Milligan.
Quickly, he forms a connection with Cathy and finds himself in trouble with the law, stemming from his questionable beginnings. However, he receives dating tips from one of the police officers, played appropriately by Charles Boyle, a character from Brooklyn Nine-Nine portrayed by Joe Lo Truglio.
“For a snowman, you’re one heck of a romantic,” Cathy later declares as their bond grows stronger.
However, the funniest moment comes at the end as the snowman watches Chabert’s Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan on TV, Cathy saying: “That’s so funny – that looks just like a girl I went to high school with.”
We’re certainly holding out for fetch to happen with a Cady Heron and Gretchen Wieners reunion.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say this movie titled “Hot Frosty” is under the guidance of director Jerry Ciccoritti and scripted by Russell Hainline. You might recognize some familiar faces like Katy Mixon from “Mike & Molly”, Lauren Holly who charmed us in “Dumb and Dumber”, and Craig Robinson, a favorite from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”.
Additionally, Chrishell Stause from “Selling Sunset,” who earlier expressed her delight about it, is also scheduled to be featured.
After Chabert shared details about the project on social platforms, Stause replied: “You’re so kind – Looking forward to possibly collaborating with you again sometime down the line.
Hot Frosty premieres on Netflix on November 13.
