MCU Revives Forgotten Iron Man Tech
Heed this notice! The following article discloses SPOILERS for the series Ironheart! Marvel’s Ironheart reintroduces a significant Tony Stark creation that the MCU had seemingly overlooked post-debut in Iron Man 3. Riri Williams upholds Tony Stark’s Iron Man heritage by developing her own line of high-tech armor suits. However, unlike Stark, Riri encounters supernatural adversaries soon after claiming the mantle of superhero.
Over time, Tony Stark constructed numerous Iron Man suits, each boasting unique capabilities. From crafting a battle-ready one-man armored vehicle in a cave to mastering nanotechnology, Stark’s progress was nothing short of extraordinary. Although his final Iron Man suits were awe-inspiring, one of Stark’s lesser-known inventions had gone unnoticed – until now.
Iron Man 3 Introduced The Idea Of Biotech Enhancements
Tony Stark Started To Blur The Line Between Humanity And Technology In Iron Man 3
In the wake of the Battle of New York, Tony Stark redirected all his energies towards constructing the Iron Legion and advancing cutting-edge technology. One of his inventions was the micro-implants that enabled him to manage the prototype Mark 42 armor suit, a tool he had to utilize extensively during Iron Man 3. Tony Stark’s Iron Man 3 tech allowed him to control each component of the Iron Man armor solely through his thoughts.
In the aftermath of my multiple encounters with death in Iron Man 3, I, Tony Stark, managed to conquer my crippling paranoia and fixation on technology. However, in Avengers: Age of Ultron, despite debuting with state-of-the-art armor suits, I abandoned my vast collection of Iron Legion armors and cybernetic enhancements. Instead, I dedicated myself to refining nanotechnology as my primary area of innovation.
Ironheart Sets Up Ezekiel Stane’s Full-Body Cybernetic Enhancements
Ezekiel Stane Is Set To Become One With Technology
In the early stages of Ironheart, Riri Williams and Ezekiel Stane developed a strong bond, only for it to deteriorate after an unsuccessful heist went awry. This misfortune led Ezekiel to seek aid from the Hood and become increasingly reliant on his own cutting-edge biotech innovations to completely turn against Riri. Later, Riri manages to free Ezekiel from the Hood’s influence, but by that point, Ezekiel has undergone significant transformation and is almost a cyborg in nature.
Transformed into a blend of man and machine, Ezekiel Stane mirrors the appearance of an Iron Man suit over his human form, earning a place among Tony Stark’s adversaries. Having taken on mechanical enhancements, Ezekiel Stane embodies the hybrid legacy left by his father. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Alden Ehrenreich’s character may follow this pattern following the hopeful conclusion of Ironheart, with Ironheart emerging as his chief antagonist.
Ezekiel Stane’s Villain Future Is Exciting For Iron Man’s Legacy
The MCU’s Ezekiel Stane Could Be A Nightmarish Fusion Of Obadiah Stane And Tony Stark
Ezekiel Stane’s tech in the MCU might not mirror Tony Stark’s, but it serves as a chilling reminder of how dangerous Stark’s inventions could have become if misused. In time, Alden Ehrenreich’s Zeke Stane may further embody the antagonist role and evolve his technology to resemble Ironheart, creating a terrifying variant of the Iron Man Mark 42 armor. This transformation could deepen his connection to his father, Obadiah Stane, who was known as Iron Monger in the MCU.
