MCU Missed Golden Chance to Revive Moon Knight with One Villain’s Death

The main character of “Moon Knight” might have had another chance to shine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to a particular villain, but since that villain died, this opportunity may no longer be available. In the series “Daredevil: Born Again,” which aired in 2025, one of the villains was Muse, a character from Marvel Comics. In both the comics and the show, Muse is a notorious serial killer who utilizes the blood, entrails, and corpses of his victims to create murals that critique influential figures within the Marvel universe. The focus of “Daredevil: Born Again’s” Muse was primarily on characters significant to the series, such as Daredevil, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, or Frank Castle/The Punisher.

Matt almost managed to overpower Muse, but before he could do so, Heather shot the serial killer multiple times, seemingly ending his potential future in the MCU.

It’s extremely unlikely that any new murals will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) now that Muse is deceased. Although his comic book artwork included characters like Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Spider-Man, it appears that the MCU’s version of Muse was only involved with creating murals centered around Daredevil for the “Born Again” storyline. There may be a chance that previously undisclosed murals made before Muse’s demise could surface in “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2, but the prospect of seeing Moon Knight reappear in this format has become slim.
