Chris Hemsworth has got Marvel fans worrying that Thor might die in Avengers: Doomsday.
In 2011, the actor known for portraying the initial God of Thunder posted a video named ‘Thank You! The Thor Legacy’ on his personal YouTube channel.
The video is made up of clips spanning from his initial audition to this year’s “Love and Thunder,” and contrary to appearances, it isn’t intended as a farewell tribute to the character. Instead, it serves another purpose.
I stumbled upon an exciting video showcasing Thor’s latest adventure, which was initially shared on the Disney+ YouTube channel back in 2022, as a sneak peek for his fourth standalone movie.
However, it’s the fresh aspects of Hemsworth’s post that have left fans worried: specifically, the text he included in the video description and his Instagram Stories.

He penned down that playing Thor has been an incredible privilege in his life. For the past fifteen years, he’s wielded Mjolnir and later Stormbreaker, embodying the God of Thunder. However, what made this experience truly exceptional… was being able to share it with everyone like you.
Your enthusiasm, your support, and your affection towards this character have been absolutely invaluable to me. I can’t thank you enough for making my adventure through the Marvel Cinematic Universe an experience I’ll never forget. Now, let’s move on to the next chapter: Doomsday! 💥💥💥
One Redditor posted, “Didn’t it seem like the script he got was about him being killed by Doom in ‘Doomsday’?”, while another commented, “It looks to me like Hemsworth is quitting Thor after ‘Doomsday’…
A third comment succinctly said “He dead”.

On the platform once known as Twitter, one user posted “He’s really being roasted”, whereas another commented “It seems like he’s bidding farewell to everyone”.
Are you suggesting the same interpretation as I have???” or “Is that your understanding too?” – accompanied by a GIF portraying a similar sense of urgency or surprise, followed by “I’d also like to refer to this as ‘Thor-shadowing’.
The complete Avengers film series is currently available for streaming on Disney+. However, the release of “Doomsday” has been postponed to December 18, 2026.
