MCU Bombshell: Beloved Hero MEETS GRISLY END in Thunderbolts

It’s been revealed through preliminary scenes that a significant cast member will meet their end in the movie. This character has been less visible in most promotional materials for the film, and now we understand the reason behind their scarcity.

In the last installment of a series, titled “Thunderbolts,” the story unfolds as a group of previously notorious villains band together for a noble cause. The team comprises Yelena Belova, portrayed by Florence Pugh; U.S. Agent, played by Wyatt Russell; Red Guardian, starring David Harbour; Ghost, featuring Hannah John-Kamen; Taskmaster, with Olga Kurylenko in the role; and lastly, Bucky Barnes, brought to life by Sebastian Stan.

Based on initial viewings of the movie, it’s been confirmed that Kurylenko’s portrayal of Taskmaster will undoubtedly meet his end in the film. As per reports, Ghost is the one who will take down Taskmaster during a preliminary clash between the team, a conflict orchestrated by Valentina to eliminate them. Notably, several characters involved in this altercation, including Yelena, had previous connections with Valentina through illicit activities.

It has long been speculated among fans that Taskmaster might not survive until the final credits roll. Initially, they expected Bob/Sentry (portrayed by Lewis Pullman) to eliminate the former Red Room assassin. As Kurylenko mentioned earlier, “They tweaked a few elements.” Essentially, this means changes were made, but every movie is unique and undergoes modifications during production. So, while things will be different from what was initially assumed, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Test Screening Reactions Are Positive

To start off, the film has generated an incredibly positive response during its previews. The actress, Pugh, refers to it as a “tough-as-nails indie flick with an A24 vibe and superheroes reminiscent of Marvel.” The release date is set for May 1st, with many members of the cast already on board. Given this information, it’s safe to say that viewers might want to stay tuned for more.

Thunderbolts* will be released on May 2, 2025.
