Maya Jama’s Mystery Date Sparks Romance Rumors

It appears that Maya Jama spent an enjoyable evening out with an unidentified gentleman in London on Tuesday, fueling speculation about her romantic relationship with soccer player Ruben Dias.

At the Greek eatery, Alexander The Great in Camden, the Love Island host, aged 30, was snapped holding a bouquet of red roses while having dinner.

Maya shared a glimpse of her dinner date as she shared snaps of her meal on Instagram.

He donned a striped jumper with bands of blue, blue, and white, contrasting sharply with the TV personality’s elegant appearance in a daringly low-cut, black and white crocheted gown.

Maya said: ‘This restaurant looks so cute, they put flowers on our table.’

For several months now, Ruben, aged 27, and Maya have been discreetly seeing each other. It was at the European Music Awards (EMAs) in November 2024 that their paths crossed for the first time, and it was then that the Portuguese man took notice of her.

Over the past few months, I’ve made it a point to catch Dias in action for Man City at numerous football matches. It’s become an obsession of mine!

More recently, Maya expressed her fondness for the footballer by commenting on his social media posts.

Last week, it emerged that the couple may be deepening their relationship as the defender is said to have presented his latest companion to his mom, Bernadette, reports The Sun.

Two weeks ago, I learned that Dias’ mom started following me on Instagram – quite an exciting turn of events for my digital life!

In March’s global football hiatus, Maya traveled to Lisbon to catch Dias playing for Portugal’s national squad.

In the José Alvalade Stadium, she was spotted among the spectators, cheering on as Portugal won 5-2 against Denmark during the second round of their Nations League playoff quarterfinals.

In a private luxury suite, typically used by friends and relatives of the players, the presenter was spotted, accompanied by a companion, enjoying some glasses of wine.

At 3:30 am the next day, Maya shared a photo on social media showing them enjoying each other’s company by the fireside during their romantic getaway.

The photograph appears to have been captured at the footballer’s residence located in the Cascais region of Portugal, as suggested by a large swimming pool and fire pit visible within the image.

It is said that they began dating in December, as they first met at the EMAs held in Manchester during November. Notably, Dias performs there.

In the days after Valentine’s Day, whispers about their romantic relationship grew louder as Jama posted pictures of a bouquet of roses she received upon returning to the UK from Cape Maya, following the wrap-up of the 2025 Love Island All Stars season.

Afterward, they were noticed sporting identical Cartier ‘LOVE’ bracelets, priced at £5,050 each on their official online store.

Previously, Maya had been pictured sporting an expensive present on Instagram, and then it was noticed that Ruben donned the same priced item when he turned up for practice prior to City’s Champions League play-off second leg clash with Real Madrid in February.

They haven’t spoken about the dating rumors openly, but earlier in March, Gary Lineker seemed to confirm their relationship when he referred to the defender as Maya’s “boyfriend” directly to her.

Following the event, Maya didn’t dispute Lineker’s statement, instead, she referred to the Match of the Day host as ‘unusual’.
