Maya and Ruben also enjoyed some downtime together, as they spent some days relaxing by a pool.

Ruben captioned his post ‘Home recharge,’ and Maya replied, ‘And now I never want to leave Portugal!’

Maya and Ruben have been spotted together publicly for the first time since their home in Cheshire was burglarized, a frightening incident at their £4 million property.

Maya and her Manchester City footballer partner were heartbroken when their home was robbed in January.

The event occurred during a match where Ruben was playing against Galatasaray in Turkey, while Maya was filming the show Love Island: All Stars in South Africa.

Reports say thieves stole thousands of pounds worth of goods, including designer clothing, jewelry, and electronics.

The couple had just moved into the house they won through the Omaze prize draw, and it reportedly costs £20,000 a month to rent.

Even though they already had advanced security systems, the couple has hired a 24-hour security team from Strongbox to live on their property and further protect it.

According to a source speaking to The Sun, the couple hired a security company to evaluate their property. The company recommended 24/7 live-in guards, believing they would effectively discourage any potential problems.

Many professional footballers already employ personal trainers, cooks, and drivers, and increasingly, they’re also hiring security personnel.

The Daily Mail has contacted Maya and Ruben’s representatives for a comment at the time.

Ruben came home from a game to find his house had been burglarized and completely ransacked, and he immediately alerted the authorities about the break-in and missing belongings.

Oh my god, I heard what happened and I’m just sick! Apparently, someone broke into their house – their first house together, which means the world to them! Thankfully, they weren’t home at the time, but can you imagine how violated they must feel? It’s their personal space, their sanctuary, and someone just… invaded it. I’m absolutely heartbroken for them!

Maya shared her excitement about moving into her first home with Ruben, posting videos and photos on social media to document the experience, as reported by The Sun.

They used to have a long-distance relationship, with her traveling between London and his city apartment. That’s why owning this home together is so special to them.

Cheshire Police responded to a report of a break-in at a home on Woodbrook Road in Alderley Edge around 11:10 PM on Wednesday, January 28th, according to a statement to the Daily Mail.

Police responded to the scene and discovered that someone had broken into the property and taken several items.
