Maya Jama says she’s being terrorised by huge bugs as she remains holed up in Cape Town after ITV bosses were forced to postpone Love Island: All Stars launch

Maya Jama shared on Wednesday that she’s dealing with a lot of large bugs while staying in Cape Town.

Maya Jama, the host of Love Island: All Stars, is unexpectedly having some downtime in South Africa. The show’s launch was delayed because of wildfires in the region, according to ITV.

Maya didn’t get much rest, though! She ended up sleeping on the couch after a beetle fell onto her bed while she was trying to sleep.

The TV presenter shared photos on Instagram, looking a bit messy but laughing about what happened.

I was woken up last night when a large insect – it looked like a cockroach but with pincers – fell onto my bed. It really startled me!

It was so heavy that the sound it made reminded me of a tiny mouse landing and scurrying under my bed, then continuing to chirp or sing throughout the night from behind the curtain.

Maya added: ‘He won. I slept on the sofa with a blanket over my head.’

Earlier this week, Bikini-clad Maya shared a glimpse at her ‘wholesome’ downtime in Cape Town.

She posted a short video on Instagram on Tuesday, giving fans a glimpse of her recent activities and showcasing her amazing physique.

Maya showcased her fit physique wearing a small black bikini from Hunza G, which had sparkling details inside.

Maya filmed a video while walking around Cape Town, which she now considers a second home. She’s been visiting for four years and feels like she knows the city and its people well.

She said she’s been visiting for four years and feels like a part of the community. She enjoys walking around, visiting her favorite shops, and greeting people as she returns.

On Monday, Maya Jama let fans know what was happening with the dating show after ITV had to delay the start of ‘Love Island: All Stars’.

I was so excited for filming to start on the new series this weekend, but unfortunately, it’s been delayed. There were terrible wildfires near where they’re filming, so they had to postpone everything for safety reasons. It’s a shame, but everyone’s well-being is the most important thing.

ITV revealed over the weekend that the launch was delayed. In a statement posted on Instagram Monday night, they said they are still working to finalize the new launch date.

Filming for the new series is expected to begin on Wednesday, though the exact date it will air hasn’t been announced yet.

We’re letting everyone know that the first episode of Love Island has been postponed because of wildfires happening near the villa in South Africa.

Thankfully, everyone is safe, and we’re still planning to release a fantastic series. We’ll share the new release date on our social media channels as soon as it’s confirmed, so please stay tuned!

The show was originally going to premiere Monday evening, but it’s been postponed because wildfires prevented filming over the weekend.

Oh my gosh, I just saw that The Sun is saying filming might finally start on Wednesday! I’m practically vibrating with excitement! They don’t know when it’ll actually be back on our screens yet, but just knowing they’re potentially starting to film… it’s everything! I’ve been waiting so long!

ITV is losing around £15,000 every hour due to the delay, as they’re still paying for the crew, staff, camera operators, and psychologists who are already in South Africa and ready to work.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Maya actually went ahead last week to get everything ready! And they’ve already got twelve Islanders confirmed – twelve! Millie Court and Tommy Bradley are definitely among them, and they’re all staying in the most amazing place. But get this – there are even MORE coming! They’re calling them ‘bombshells’ and haven’t revealed who they are yet! I’m literally dying to find out!
