Maya Jama cuts a stylish figure while heading to support boyfriend Ruben Dias as his side play in Manchester derby (but manages to pass a billboard of her ex Stormzy on the way!)

Maya Jama had an awkward moment on Sunday when she drove past a billboard featuring her ex-boyfriend, Stormzy, while on her way to cheer on her current boyfriend, Ruben Dias, at the Manchester derby.

The 31-year-old Love Island host looked fashionable, pairing a black crop top that showed off her abs with a large leather jacket.

Maya finished her outfit with black jeans and boots, and topped it off with stylish sunglasses.

The TV personality had an awkward moment when she was forced to walk past a large photo of her ex-boyfriend – whom she’d been dating on and off for ten years – as part of his new Adidas ad campaign.

The derby saw Ruben’s team Man City pulverise bitter rivals Man United 3-0 at the Etihad stadium. 

Phil Foden ended a three-month scoring drought in the Premier League, and Erling Haaland added two goals in a tense, exciting match.

Maya and Stormzy announced their second breakup in July 2024 with a joint statement on Instagram. They revealed they first fell in love in 2014, split in 2019, and had been living separate lives for the past five years.

The couple has officially ended their relationship. They initially separated after five years together in 2019, briefly reunited in August 2023, and have now confirmed the split is permanent.

In May, Maya shared on Instagram Stories how she coped with their breakup, explaining that his music helped her through a difficult time.

She’ll always cherish Bristol and London, but she’s really enjoying spending more time in Manchester with Ruben.

The city is now a popular spot for celebrities, and it will host The Brit Awards for the very first time in February.

Maya often shares her love for the city on TikTok, posting videos for her 1.1 million followers about her life there. These posts include glimpses of her time at Ruben’s upscale apartment and enjoying meals prepared by his personal chef, Diogo Prego.

The couple has been seen out on dates around town, and were recently spotted shopping together at an Apple store in Manchester’s Arndale Centre.

According to a witness who spoke with The Sun, Ruben and Maya appeared deeply in love. The witness described Maya as affectionate towards Ruben, and the two seemed lost in their own world.

This confirms earlier reports that Maya and Ruben’s relationship was becoming serious, and they were considering moving in together.

Apparently, Ruben quickly showed Maya how serious he was, and she was considering dividing her time between London and Manchester to be closer to him.
