Maya Jama spent Sunday relaxing in the sun with friends, seemingly unbothered by her recent breakup with footballer Ruben Dias.
The footballer, age 29, and the host of Love Island, 31, split up three weeks ago. This happened before Maya Jama, 31, traveled to Inverness to start filming the new season of Celebrity Traitors.
The presenter seemed happy and relaxed as she danced in the sun during a fun day out with her friend Abuk Bol in London.
Maya looked fantastic in a simple outfit: a white tank top and blue denim shorts. She was enjoying a glass of rosé.
The women were enjoying drinks at a London restaurant, soaking up the sun on the bank holiday.
Maya appeared relaxed and joyful, dancing with her hands up, in a video Abuk shared on Instagram.
As the song “Be Where I Am” played, Abuk added text to the video, writing “My Honey @mayajama.”
After news of their breakup surfaced, Maya and Ruben removed all photos of each other from their Instagram profiles.
A recent photo she posted last month from their trip to Rome is no longer available, and the Christmas Day picture of her and Ruben together has also been removed.
Ruben removed two pictures of Maya from a post about their vacation in May 2025. He also deleted a photo of the Love Island star taken after a trip to Portugal from his social media feed.
Maya didn’t post anything on social media over the weekend when Ruben and his team won the FA Cup, even though she had cheered him on at games before.
People immediately noticed the breakup happened shortly after Manchester City lost the Premier League title to their biggest competitors, Arsenal.
One posted on X: ‘Ruben Dias lost the title and Maya Jama in the same week? It’s tuffff.’
Some people wondered if this meant Ruben Dias would have a fantastic comeback next season, with one fan tweeting, ‘Ruben Dias is gearing up for a big season!’

Maya and Ruben began dating in December 2024. They first met a month earlier at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Manchester.
People close to the couple revealed on Thursday that they’ve decided to split up, feeling the relationship had naturally reached its end. Both are currently very focused on their work.
Sources say the couple separated on good terms, and they still care deeply for each other.
According to a source, Maya is about to begin a very busy period of filming, and Ruben is completely dedicated to the World Cup. Because of these commitments, they’ve decided to separate.
According to a statement to The Sun, there’s no animosity between the pair. They still care for each other deeply, but with busy schedules and a long period of separation looming, they mutually decided to end the relationship now.
It was clear to everyone how much Maya and Ruben cared for each other. However, as their busy lives – Maya with work and Ruben with football – became more demanding, their relationship faced a turning point.
The breakup was handled with a lot of maturity and was a mutual decision. Both individuals are young and focused on their careers, and are now moving into important new stages in their professional lives.
