Maya Jama and boyfriend Ruben Dias on high alert as they ‘ramp up 24-hour security team’ at their £4M Cheshire home after targeted burglary attack

Maya Jama and her boyfriend, Ruben Dias, have increased security at their Cheshire home, worth around £4 million, after it was broken into.

The TV presenter, age 31, and the Manchester City football player, 28, were very upset when their home was broken into and robbed in January.

When the attack happened, Ruben was playing a game against Galatasaray, and Maya was filming the show Love Island: All Stars in South Africa.

I was shocked to hear about the recent burglary! Reports say the thieves got away with a ton of stuff – we’re talking designer clothes, jewelry, and all sorts of electronics, adding up to thousands of pounds worth of losses. It’s just awful.

The couple had just moved into the house they won through the Omaze prize draw, and it reportedly costs £20,000 a month to rent.

Despite already having advanced security systems, the couple has hired a Strongbox security team to live on their property around the clock to further protect it.

According to a source at The Sun, the couple hired a security company to evaluate their property. The company recommended 24/7 live-in guards, believing they would strongly discourage any potential problems.

Many professional soccer players already employ personal trainers, cooks, and drivers, and increasingly, they’re also hiring security guards.

Daily Mail has contacted Maya and Ruben’s representatives for a comment.

Ruben came home from a game and found his house had been robbed and completely ransacked, and he was the one who reported the break-in.

According to a source, the couple was heartbroken by the incident. This was their first home together, making it particularly meaningful to them. Fortunately, they weren’t there when it happened, but they’re deeply disturbed that someone violated their privacy.

Maya shared photos and videos on social media of her and Ruben moving into their first home, expressing how proud she was.

They used to have a long-distance relationship, with her traveling between London and his city apartment. This new home is especially meaningful to them because it’s the first place they’ve shared as a settled couple.

Cheshire Police responded to a report of a burglary on Woodbrook Road in Alderley Edge around 11:10 PM on Wednesday, January 28th, according to a statement to the Daily Mail.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Someone actually broke into her house! The police went over, and apparently, they found someone had gotten in and taken a bunch of her things. I’m just devastated for her, honestly. It’s awful!

Police are currently investigating and ask anyone with information to contact them on 101 or through their website.

I heard the lovely couple were checking out that incredible, ultra-modern mansion in Alderley Edge – you might remember it, it was the grand prize in the Omaze draw last November! It’s a seriously stunning property.

It was won by mother Emily Ward with a £25 ticket and she is still listed as the property owner. 

This beautiful four-bedroom home offers 6,300 square feet of living space, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained gardens. It also features a luxurious indoor recreation area and a state-of-the-art security system.

The mansion could be rented for about £20,000 per month, and it’s also currently for sale.

I’ve been following their story, and it seems like they first connected at the European Music Awards back in November 2024. Apparently, the player noticed the TV presenter and was instantly drawn to them – it was a really sweet moment, from what I understand!

Their romance was finally confirmed at a Baller League event last April. 

The footballer recently talked about his relationship with Maya for the first time. 

When asked about the media attention on their relationship, Ruben told The Telegraph he wasn’t worried at all. He said it’s the furthest thing from his mind.

‘We are just both aware of it, and there’s no way around it. 

Ultimately, don’t focus on the issue itself. Concentrate on everything surrounding it, and then handle that additional complexity carefully and intelligently.
