Max George keeps a low profile as he heads out after issuing a gruelling health update following his terrifying heart surgery
On Friday, Max George maintained a discreet appearance as he ventured out in Manchester, after his latest health announcement.
36-year-old singer from The Wanted underwent a pacemaker implantation following his hospitalization in December due to an unspecified heart issue.
Following an extended hospitalization, he was released on Christmas Day, which he spent with his girlfriend Maisie Smith. Subsequently, he visited his mother Barbara in Salford, Greater Manchester.
In his recent appearance, Max opted for a relaxed style, wearing a black North Face vest over a black sweater, matched with khaki green cargo pants.
He completed the ensemble with Nike trainers and a cosy black beanie hat as he headed to his car.
Following George’s revelation about his challenging recuperation process following his unexpected heart surgery towards the end of last year, it subsequently occurred.

On Wednesday, I took to Instagram, sharing a video of me, the musician, taking a leisurely stroll on the treadmill. This was part of my journey to regain my physical fitness following surgery.
Max appeared in good spirits and turned to give the camera a thumbs up.
Despite the prospect of celebrating Christmas in a hospital, luckily for him, he managed to go back home, where he joyfully met up with his girlfriend, Maisie Smith again.
At the year’s end, Max posted on Instagram with a thoughtful message that reads: “2024… A year I’ll never forget!
I feel incredibly grateful for the life I’ve been given, and I’m eagerly anticipating the next phase, regardless of any obstacles it may bring.
At the same time, the celebrity disclosed that he had been feeling a series of spasms or twitches in his chest post-surgery.
On New Year’s Eve, Max shared on Instagram that he had an unusual sensation in his chest, and doctors are still uncertain about its cause.
The star wondered if his fans had encountered similar situations, since he was seeking their guidance before an upcoming examination.

In a recent video, he mentioned that he is scheduled for another hospital visit tomorrow due to a persistent sensation of fluttering in his left chest area. Interestingly, he’s experiencing it at this moment as well.
I was curious if any of you have encountered this issue before, as the medical professionals are not entirely certain about it themselves.
Perhaps it’s causing sensitivity, and it may resolve on its own with time, or there could be a minor adjustment needed like repositioning a wire. I’m open to listening since my purpose here is solely for research.
‘I know nothing about pacemakers. Any information I could get would be most appreciated.’
After Max revealed that he had his initial outdoor steps since the incident, he uploaded a picture of him strolling at night with his cherished pitbull, Albert, on their dog walk.
He also uploaded an image of his Apple Watch, showing his heart rate at 85 bpm.
In his photo captions, he penned: ‘Returned to the outdoors… It was wonderful to take my initial strides after some time indoors, more so with my handsome companion by my side.’
