Following weeks of hinting at a project called “Landgrab” on social media platforms, Sweatshirt has announced that he will be reuniting with MAVI in the recording studio. This marks their first collaboration together since five years ago.

Titled “Landgrab”, this brief, approximately 1-minute-and-28-seconds long track serves as a follow-up to their 2019 collaboration “EL TORO COMBO MEAL” that was part of Earl’s FEET OF CLAY EP. The new song features production by Hollywood Cole and marks MAVI’s first studio release since his 2024 album, “shadowbox”. Additionally, it is the first instance where MAVI has included another rapper on one of his own tracks.

Additionally, the track comes accompanied by its official music video. In this clip, you’ll find the two artists trading verses inside a space that resembles a greenhouse, with the vegetation arranged to mirror the artwork on the album cover.
