Maura Higgins ‘unfollows ex Pete Wicks and Olivia Attwood amid their feud’ – four months after her split from the TOWIE star

In the spirit of keeping things clear and cordial, I’ve chosen to step back from following my former partner Pete Wicks and his good friend Olivia Attwood. The recent developments between us seem to have sparked a bit of a disagreement, so for now, it feels best for me to maintain some personal space.

The former Love Island star, 34, split from Pete in February this year after a short fling.

Shortly following Maura’s comment suggesting Pete had been unfaithful, Olivia stepped in to clarify that Pete had never been disloyal.

According to The Sun, it appears that Maura has stopped following both of them due to the ongoing tension. Additionally, the article suggests that Olivia and Pete may have done the same by unfollowing Maura as well.

A representative for Maura has been contacted by TopMob for comment.

Last year, TopMob revealed a hidden disagreement when Olivia publicly accused Maura, a contestant from the 2019 season of the ITV2 dating show (who is now 34 years old), of employing the same script, specifically her motives for joining the show – seeking revenge on an ex.

This year in March, Olivia shared the explanation for the “cheating” joke she told concerning her friend Pete during the Brit Awards red carpet event.

The television host, aged 33, jokingly remarked during an interview with TopMob following the news that Pete’s infidelity supposedly terminated his romance with Maura.

Regarding Sam Thompson, Pete shared with us: “Sam’s having a tough time tonight since I have a new work partner. However, he’s not too far off, he’s seated right over there.

He added: ‘It is a little bit weird because it feels like I am…’

Are we cheating?” Olivia chimed in amidst their shared chuckles. She then casually mentioned, “I should tell you this isn’t our first time doing something like this.

‘Because… I have never done that,’ Pete said.

Later, Olivia made it clear on her Instagram Story that their jest regarding the allegations was due to them being baseless. She expressed that she doesn’t find dishonesty amusing.

On my favorite social platform, I shared: “Laughing at infidelity isn’t amusing. Pete isn’t a cheater – that’s the humor behind it. Just wanted to clear things up.

She mentioned, “I’m glad you could decipher what was being said implicitly; many others couldn’t. It wasn’t a joke I found amusing in any way.

Previously known Love Island contestant clarified that her actions weren’t intended to be malicious towards Maura, rather she was merely looking out for the well-being of her friend.

Olivia mentioned, “I want to make it clear that I deeply care for my friends, but I don’t harbor hatred or hostility towards anyone.

‘You guys have seen my work schedule – I don’t have time to eat most days.’

She added: ‘If I’m feeling emotional, it’s best not to post cryptic Instagram stories as they can be misunderstood. Instead, I’ll express myself more directly when I’m upset, speaking openly from the heart in the future.’

A day following the music awards ceremony, Pete made a jab at his former partner Maura, who was seen kissing Danny Jones at the BRIT Awards afterparty.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share this tidbit: Yours truly, previously a TOWIE star and a Love Island alum, decided to call it quits, following a string of disagreements that unfolded right before our planned appearance together.

At the Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty, Maura was spotted locking lips in an intimate moment with Danny Jones from McFly, who is known to have been married to Georgia for more than a decade.

On his Staying Relevant podcast, Pete playfully expressed that if he had the power, he would eliminate Love Island from existence, in response to a fan’s question.

His co-star Sam Thompson laughed and replied: ‘That’s so aggressive.’

Pete went on to say, “It consumes everything; it’s all people seem to discuss for an extended period of three months annually.

He mentioned: “It’s challenging for me to engage in casual conversation with folks whose interests are unfamiliar to me, as I lack knowledge about the subject.

Sam stated, “To tell the truth, it’s hard for me to picture you socializing with folks who would ask, ‘What’s the next airing of Love Island?’

Pete responded: ‘No but even when I walk through the office… just no.’

In 2019, Maura was a main character in the fifth season of the ITV program, whereas Zara McDermott, Sam’s former partner, previously appeared on the same show in 2018.
