According to reports, Maura Higgins is said to have consented to appear on the upcoming American version of The Traitors, which seems to be her latest attempt to gain a foothold in the United States.

Speculation arose that the 34-year-old Irish charm might be joining The Traitors’ team, following the announcement of her replacement on Love Island USA Aftersun over the weekend.

Now just a couple of days later fans’ suspicions seem all but confirmed. 

According to a source, Maura is rapidly gaining popularity overseas, and her role in The Traitors is simply one aspect of this growing stardom.

It appears that Maura had to step down from hosting Aftersun because of scheduling problems preventing her from continuing in the role.

However, the beloved contestant on Love Island for quite some time didn’t announce that her connection with the series was over.

In a video revealing that Australian host Sophie Monk will take over her position temporarily, Maura playfully hinted: “Make sure you don’t get too settled, I’ll be returning soon.

It was reported by The Sun that the previous Irish Islander is set to reappear. A source stated, “Due to other professional obligations, Maura couldn’t take on hosting Aftersun this season, but rest assured, you’ll see her on your screens again in a different role as the series progresses.

Starting her ascent to fame during the fifth season of Love Island alongside Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, it wasn’t until 2023 that Maura made her debut on US TV shows.

She came back to Love Island, taking on the roles of the social media presenter for Love Island USA and the host of the Love Island Games.

A mere year after, Maura secured the hosting job for Love Island USA: Aftersun, swiftly gaining popularity among viewers.

In 2024, she made her comeback to UK television by participating in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! This decision turned out to be financially beneficial for the renowned Irish actress.

After the performance, Maura secured numerous endorsement contracts, one of which is a six-figure deal with the cosmetics company L’Oreal.

After openly expressing her feeling of relief upon being recognized by the French business following her drunken kiss with Danny Jones at the BRITs, Maura posed for pictures following the signing of the contract in March. (37 words)

Other stars linked to a returned include Zara McDermott, Dani Dyer and Ekin-Su Culculoglu. 

The offshoot is anticipated to debut relatively soon, and it’s rumored to adopt a similar layout to “Gogglebox.”
