Maura Higgins transformed a humble £5 eyelash kit into a thriving beauty business valued at more than half a million pounds.

34-year-old star from Love Island is experiencing one of the peak moments of her career, as a major television opportunity in the U.S. may soon be announced, and her business ventures are thriving at home.

In 2024, her company, The Flutter Effect, announced outstanding financial results. This included over £414,000 held as cash reserves and approximately £350,000 invested, according to a report from The Sun.

Her triumph can primarily be attributed to the highly successful partnership with Primark, where her affordable eyelashes and beauty accessories have been eagerly purchased by many fans.

According to filings submitted to Companies House, it appears she owed Corporation Tax amounting to £101,141 – indicating that her earnings for the period up to November 2024 likely surpassed half a million pounds, being subject to taxation.

Her earnings experienced a significant boost last year, nearly doubling compared to the year before.

Approximately a month has passed since news emerged about Maura supposedly securing a new position in the U.S., following hot on the heels of her work on The Traitors US.

The stunning venue has been chosen to premiere a freshly-commissioned Aftersun program for the forthcoming Love Island Competition, following her impressive performances on the standard broadcast.

A source close to the TV production shared with The Sun: ‘Unlike the first season of Love Island Games, which was pre-recorded and broadcast later, the second season’s Aftersun spinoff will be shown live, just as the main show is.’

Due to popular demand, a spin-off series of Aftersun, hosted by Maura Higgins, is being produced to air alongside the main show. This is because Maura has been selected to host the Aftersun companion show, which is usually presented during Love Island USA’s broadcast.

Maura was delighted when she received the invitation, since ‘Games’ is an entirely distinct production, so there wasn’t any certainty that she would get a chance to participate.

The source shared that the Irish beauty was ecstatic when producers reached out to her, referring to her as a crucial member of the Love Island USA group.

According to the report, her American career is thriving and continues to grow following her role in “Traitors US.” Maura expresses a desire to dedicate even more time to projects in the U.S., and this opportunity seems to be another stepping stone towards achieving that goal.

Previously a star on the fifth season of Love Island USA, which can be found streaming on Peacock, this beloved TV personality is currently speculated to jet off to Fiji for her upcoming project.

Following the news that she and Danny Jones might have an uncomfortable reunion ahead, the report surfaced, approximately five months after their embarrassing public kiss at the BRIT Awards made headlines due to their excessive alcohol consumption.
