Maura Higgins rages to GK Barry about having to pay to use the toilet on I’m A Celeb and fumes ‘it’s absolutely scandalous!’
As a hardcore fan of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, I can’t help but feel like I’ve been dropped right into the heart of the jungle myself, every time I watch an episode. The thrill, the challenges, the camaraderie – it’s all so captivating! But one thing that truly took me aback during this week’s episode was the outrageous cost of using the toilet, or as Maura put it, “That’s an expensive p**s!
On “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!”, Maura Higgins expressed outrage over needing to pay for using the restroom, labeling the practice as “simply shocking” or “hardly believable”.
During Thursday’s episode, the celebrities found themselves in an entirely different camp following their win from the Rank Bank bushtucker trial, which was quite nauseating.
Instead of ‘jungle cash cards’, they received passes for essential facilities usage, where each use of the restroom, shower, pool, or bathtub would cost approximately $10.
As Maura, 34, and social media influencer GK Barry, 25, neared the entrance to use the restroom, Maura inquired, “What if we find a loophole and something goes wrong?
GK replied: ‘That’s what I’m thinking. More money.’
‘Are we risking it or not?’ Love Island alum Maura asked.

GK reasoned, ‘I mean, it’s only $10,’ to which Maura shot back: ‘That’s an expensive p**s!’
‘Extremely expensive,’ GK agreed, before using her jungle card to get through the turnstile.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph later, Maura raged: ‘Scandalous! Absolutely scandalous!’
‘That costs ten dollars just to use the restroom! I can’t help but wonder, will five hundred dollars be enough, or won’t it last very long?’
During the Rank Bank challenge, the contestants needed to acquire their daily necessities by braving a challenging task that included handling pig testicles and fish eyes.
The stars divided into three groups, then competed with each other to accumulate the highest earnings for their fellow campers.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I had the privilege of leading the Blue Team in a recent event, joined by the talented and dynamic trio: Tulisa Contostavlos, Reverend Richard Coles, and Barry McGuigan.
McFly’s Danny Jones led the Orange Team with Maura, GK, and Strictly’s Oti Mabuse.

Radio DJ Dean McCullough headed up the Pink Team with Jane Moore, and Melvin Odoom.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly shared that the jungle experience will soon become quite costly.
In the jungle, necessary items for daily life will require spending money. To cover these expenses, you’ll need to utilize your jungle debit card.
In the races, Alan successfully completed three out of the four events, bringing $1,100 to his team, whereas both Danny and Dean each won $500.
Upon their return to camp, they discovered facilities like turnstiles that granted access to restrooms, showers, a swimming pool, and a bathtub. Additionally, there was a vending wall providing fresh, filtered water and firewood for purchase at $10 each item.
Stars could also buy extra treats for the camp at a treat machine.
‘It’s a bit like buying tickets to an Oasis concert,’ Richard complained about the new prices.
Afterward, Maura, Jane, and Richard joined a unique contest where they had to listen to a caller’s hold music on their phones, remember the song’s lyrics, and then answer questions about those lyrics.

The contestants won $200 for their cash cards for each correct answer.
After all three songs had played, Maura and Richard earned $600 each, while Jane banked $400.
Towards the finale of the show, Alan, Dean, and Danny splurged on a luxurious eight-course meal for their companions, where each course cost around $100.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
