Maura Higgins Flees Drama with Work Trip After BRITs Kiss Scandal

On Sunday, Maura Higgins ended her social media pause following the news of her kiss with Danny Jones from McFly during the BRIT Awards last weekend.

34-year-old Love Island celebrity and 38-year-old singer made news after they spent an evening together at Universal Music’s event held at 180 House last Saturday. They were seen sharing an intimate moment, hinting at a close relationship.

A week or so has passed, and she’s back to sharing posts on Instagram again – it had been quiet on her account ever since the controversy erupted.

She took to her Story to share that she was escaping all the drama with a work trip to Los Angeles.

Posting a picture of herself comfortably seated in a first-class airplane cabin, she wrote in the caption: “Thrilling photo session”, with a flute of champagne visible nearby.

After the alleged late-night rendezvous involving Maura and Danny, where they were spotted sharing a drunken kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty, it is said they continued to drink wine together until 6am.

They were reportedly asserted to have left together in different taxis, eventually ending up at the Nobu Hotel in Marylebone for a Sony party. There, it is said that they continued consuming wine until 6 am.

As an over-the-moon admirer, I couldn’t help but notice that Danny and Maura were having the time of their lives at their wild soiree! They showed no signs of slowing down or calling it quits.

As a devoted follower, I found myself joining in the festivities at Nobu from 4 am, imbibing wine with a lively group. It was evident that we were all eager to continue the celebration. I didn’t spot anyone departing before 6 am.

Additionally, the article stated that Maura and Danny were observed engaging in a private conversation filled with laughter while the festivities persisted.

The news about Danny allegedly kissing Maura is said to have come as a shock and insult to his long-term wife, Georgia Horsley. (Or: The story that Danny kissed Maura while apparently intoxicated has reportedly left his wife of more than 10 years, Georgia Horsley, taken aback.)

Following the scandal, it seems that Georgia has publicly declared her intentions regarding her marriage and life with the musician.

According to a source, the individual shared with The Mirror: “She’s been an exceptional companion for him, which makes this situation seem unjust. However, Georgia is a robust woman; she will not allow it to destroy their relationship.

Further details emerged, showing that both Danny and Maura admitted they were sorry for their actions and emphasized that the kiss was harmless.

They said: ‘Danny and Maura insist it was totally innocent and nothing meaningful. 

It’s unfortunate that, despite their strong bond in the jungle, they made a poor decision by getting involved in something following a lively party night, and even more regrettable that they did so in such a public manner.

In the year 2014, Danny tied the knot with Georgia, a past Miss World title holder, who he first encountered in 2009 at a Miss London gathering. They are proud parents to a seven-year-old son named Cooper.

While Danny admired an attractive Instagram post from Maura, they had shared a passionate kiss at the BRIT Awards – it has been disclosed that the contestants from I’m A Celebrity stayed connected following their time in the jungle.

Previously, a contestant from Love Island and a member of McFly band developed friendship during their stint in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The series concluded in December 2021, but they have continued to keep in touch through Instagram since then.

Danny made it clear that he appreciates Maura by liking a provocative post of hers back in January, featuring an image of the influencer in a black bra and leopard-print dress.

Influencer’s picture, titled ‘Ravenous’, displays Maura showcasing her svelte physique in a form-fitting attire, while she elegantly extends one arm over a wooden table for the shot.

Since the recent ‘kiss’ incident, neither Georgia nor Danny have made any public statements, with Georgia also canceling her scheduled appearance at The Baby Show this weekend.

Since Kelsey went to the event by themselves, it was disclosed by a source to TopMob that the speech concluded 15 minutes ahead of schedule, and they appeared to skip the question-and-answer segment of the event.

Affirming that Georgia was not present, a source disclosed: ‘Given the current circumstances, it would be inappropriate for Georgia to participate in a Q&A session with a live audience. She is deeply upset by how things have unfolded and can’t help but feel embarrassed.’
