Matty Healy and his fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, were seen looking affectionate on a date night in Los Angeles on Friday.

Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, and his girlfriend, a model and musician, were seen walking hand-in-hand to Wilde’s, a new restaurant with a British theme, in Los Feliz.

Matty was dressed casually in a black sweater, straight-leg jeans, and Converse shoes.

Gabbriette chose a double-breasted blazer, flared jeans, and heeled boots.

The couple first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 after being seen showing affection in New York City. This came shortly after his breakup with Taylor Swift, which had been widely reported in June.

The bride-to-be simply captioned the adorable snap: ‘MAMA.’ 

Fans think Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Matty, might have hinted at something during a recent performance, over two years after they broke up.

A video posted on the ‘Travis and Taylor’ subreddit showed Matty Healy briefly playing the piano during a concert, leading many Taylor Swift fans to believe he was playing the beginning of her 2024 song, ‘The Black Dog’.

This happened while he was at Gateshead College near Newcastle, England, giving a songwriting workshop to students, according to Stereogum.

In the video, Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, who is now engaged to model Gabbriette, was playing the keyboard. The tune he played closely resembled the beginning of Taylor Swift’s song.

‘Oh he loves adding fuel to the fire I guess haha,’ one person wrote.

Another agreed, ‘I think he loves to troll to be honest.’

‘He loves sending her messages,’ someone else typed. 

Another user pointed out that it seems he’s now listened to the album, recalling a time when it first released and he publicly stated he hadn’t heard it after being asked.

Swift sings about discovering that her ex hadn’t turned his location off despite their split.

She noticed he was going to a bar named The Black Dog in London, a place people have said she and Healy used to frequent.

Elle Magazine points out several lyrics that suggest the song is about Matt Healy. For example, the singer mentions her ex-boyfriend dating someone much younger, something Healy did on two occasions after their short relationship.

Some fans think the song might be about Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, whom she dated from 2016 to 2023.
