Matthew McConaughey shared a simple habit that he believes has helped his 13-year marriage to Camila Alves stay strong: they each get their own bedroom.
The 55-year-old Academy Award winner, who has three children with a Brazilian-American model, recently discussed this in his new book, ‘Poems & Prayers,’ released in September.
The couple tied the knot back in 2012 and are parents to Levi, 17, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the actor from Interstellar discussed why he prefers a smaller mattress.
He explained that when they visit friends, the kids all sleep together on a large bed made by joining two king-size mattresses.
The wife and husband each have their own side of the bed, and it’s wonderful when all three kids are small enough to join them. But eventually, the children get older and start sleeping in their own beds.
McConaughey then explained waking up one day to see how far his wife was from him in their bed.
Then, as you’re getting ready for bed and wanting to get cozy, someone says, “We need to tuck you in. Meet me halfway – I’ll come about twelve feet, and you come twelve feet.”
The celebrity recalled realizing that their large bed was actually harming their relationship and needed to go. They thought it was a terrible influence and wanted it removed.
We have a queen-sized bed, so we’re sleeping very close together, and honestly, I think it’s brought us closer as a couple.
