The video of Matthew McConaughey correcting an Australian journalist on a notable error during their conversation has become popular online.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to highlight that I recently came across a previously released video which was generously shared by Matt Galea, the editor from Pedestrian.TV. In the year 2021, this esteemed individual had the privilege of conducting an exclusive interview with a renowned Hollywood star, prior to the debut of his film Sing 2.
Galea started the interview by introducing himself to McConaughey.
‘Hi Matt, I’m Matt Galea from Pedestrian.TV in Australia. Thanks for chatting with me,’ he said.
But McConaughey immediately put his finger up in the air and corrected Galea on his name.
‘Matthew, please,’ the actor responded.

In 2017, McConaughey revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! why he never goes by the name Matt.
In my kindergarten days, my friend Josh Griffin asked me, “Matt, would you like to join me on the monkey bars for a game?” Excitedly, I agreed, saying, “Sure! Let’s go!
‘And halfway to the monkey bars, I feel this hand on my shoulder [which] slammed me to the ground.
Looking overhead, there’s my mom, questioning me, “What’s up?” I responded, “I plan to swing on the monkey bars with Josh.” She asked, “Who’s that?” To which I replied, “It’s me.” (In this case, ‘It’s me’ means ‘I am’, as the speaker is referring to himself.)
She asked, ‘What’s your name?’ I replied, ‘I’m Matthew.’ She then explained, ‘You know, I chose the name Matthew for you from the Bible.’ I responded with a respectful, ‘Yes, indeed!’
After a vintage picture of acclaimed actor Matthew McConaughey reappeared online, admirers couldn’t help but drool over it.
A week ago, a photograph from 1989 showing the actor as a member of his fraternity at the University of Texas in Austin was shared on X, demonstrating that he’s always had the look of a Hollywood star, even during his student years.
In the photo, the actor from Dallas Buyers Club (then aged 20) is seen with styled blonde hair, wearing a pristine white shirt, navy jacket, and a patterned necktie. His smile stretches from one ear to another.

As I gazed upon that picture, I couldn’t help but wonder aloud: “Did this gentleman skip the cringe-worthy stage of adolescence?
Another individual expressed, ‘Wow, it seems quite unfair that most of us appeared rather breakout-prone while this guy just exudes such a polished look!’
A third individual remarked, ‘He’s always been well-composed; may good fortune be with him,’ while the fourth person simply exclaimed, ‘He’s extremely attractive.’
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d put it this way: “I can’t help but admire how this individual effortlessly exuded artistic brilliance throughout his high school years. It was as if he had an invisible brush, painting perfection wherever he went.
A person noted that he’s both exceptional now and continues to be so, while another praised McConaughey as ‘perfection embodied.’
One individual labeled him as ‘the most attractive man throughout history,’ while another concurred, stating: ‘He is incredibly handsome.’
