Matt James of ‘The Bachelor’ says he and Rachael Kirkconnell have broken up
According to Matt James from “The Bachelor,” it appears that his relationship with Rachael Kirkconnell, the winner of Season 25, has come to an end, as per his own statements.
In an Instagram post made on Thursday, James, who was a contestant on the 2021 ABC dating show, revealed that he and Kirkconnell have parted ways after being together for four years.

Prior to the scandal disrupting his season, Matt James found the entire situation ‘discouraging.’ The writing of his memoir, titled ‘First Impressions,’ emerged from this experience.
Dear Heavenly Father, grant Rachael and me the resilience needed to heal our hurting hearts. May we find a tranquility regarding this decision to part ways, beyond what words can express. Let your grace and love flow through our loved ones, offering solace during this difficult time. And remind us, Lord, that true joy originates from you.
Graphic designer Kirkconnell, mentioned by James in his post, hasn’t publicly spoken or shared anything regarding their separation as of yet. No response was promptly given by a representative of the reality star when The Times requested a comment on Thursday.
However, not all Bachelor Nation followers were convinced by the breakup report, instead they noticed the duo’s recent visit to London this week and James’ social media updates from Wednesday showcasing their culinary escapades together.

Gerry Turner, affectionately known as ‘The Golden Bachelor’, discloses that an early diagnosis of bone marrow cancer during his marriage to Theresa Nist played a significant role in the sudden end of their union.
By the way, Kirkconnell’s latest Instagram post was made in early December and it’s a birthday tribute to James, who she referred to as her closest friend, team member, and assistant chef.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude in this post, featuring a collection of memories from their relationship. ‘You’re the one who fills my heart and stomach with endless love and joy,’ she wrote. ‘I’m so grateful we get to journey through life together.’ On this special day, she thanked you for your unending love, encouragement, kisses, and cuddles. Here’s to many more shared adventures, happy birthday, my dear pumpkin!
As a movie reviewer, I’m excited to discuss the groundbreaking milestone achieved by James, an influential figure in real estate, entrepreneurship, and community service. This remarkable individual made history as the first African-American lead for “The Bachelor,” previously making an appearance on Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” as a friend of contestant Tyler Cameron. Interestingly enough, attorney Rachel Lindsay paved the way for James by becoming the franchise’s first Black lead when she starred as “The Bachelorette” in 2017. This continued representation of diversity is a significant step forward in the evolving landscape of reality television.
During the 2021 finale of “The Bachelor,” the lead gave his final rose to Kirkconnell; however, they opted to continue dating instead of getting engaged, which caused quite a stir in the news. Their post-finale special, a usual platform for updating viewers on events since filming ended, took an unexpected turn when James and Kirkconnell faced the backlash of racist accusations that marred a significant part of their season. This controversy led to a profound examination of racial issues within the show itself.

For clarity, I’d rephrase it as follows: “The familiar public figure who has represented this franchise for a long time will no longer be involved, according to ABC and Warner Horizon’s confirmation on Tuesday.
The debate over a historically themed party from Kirkconnell’s past was also instrumental in the dismissal of long-standing “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison, as he found himself entangled in the aftermath when he downplayed the 2018 images involving the contestant during an interview with Lindsay.
